Reviews
Unforgiving
The course is very unforgiving. Thick roughs heavy trees and narrow fairways. The slightest wayward ball is generally a replacement. Little to no room for error. Well maintained fairways and great greens. A lot of GUR around and the bunkers were solid, meaning not real easy to get under the ball. Enjoyable play. Will return.
Slow play
Generally love playing Gainsborough as it’s good value for money. Felt today they spaced the tee times 30 sec apart. 2 golfers 4 hours to play 12 holes before we pulled pin. 3 groups waiting at every tee. I understand they need to make money but today was a joke. We lost momentum at every tee having to wait atleast 10 mins not to mention trying to play our second shot. Like I said usually love the course but hate when revenue is more important than customer satisfaction. Will remember this when booking future games and will go elsewhere. Maybe enforce slow play as we were 25 min behind recommended pace after front 9

Not value for the price, with the bunkers out of play , should. Have been a reduced price
Great course
Haven't played here in a few years, I liked the course, bunkers were a bit gritty, but I noticed new piles of sand ready for laying.
Staff were very helpful, nicely stocked pro shop, buggies looked fairly new, which is nice.
Played with a group of four looking to join a club soon, so may be in touch soon.

Bunkers
Bunkers need attention. Bunker surface hard like concrete.
Otherwise, excellent course, amenities, staff and location from M1.
Need to extend opening hours
Everything was great, except we were put behind three very slow groups of four, which meant we were unable to finish our game as fast as we would like to being an experienced group of two. We returned our cart at 6:30, it was still light, but got scolded that we didn’t bring it back sooner.
I think the comment made was that we didn’t pay full price for the game since we got it through golf now, that is irrelevant as previous games we have paid over $100 each time.
Price
WE invited a friend to play with us, when he arrived he was charged $10 less for his round than we paid online. Disappointing!!
Rain interrupted play
Nice day out, course badly in need of bunker maintenance.
Bit run down
Not sure what's happening at this course but it seems to have deteriorated each time I visit. Some fairways and most greens were in pretty bad condition this time around.
