IMG Academy Golf Club

Played late morning, mid-week, mid-summer round. Course was not in as good shape as when last played (late winter): tee boxes were rough, fringes of greens were in bad shape, and sand traps are in need of some work. However, green surfaces were very nice (both rolled true and very receptive to shots), although green speed was slower than when played "in season". Fairways were in decent shape, with very few bare areas. Staff is top notch, both very friendly and accommodating, and make you feel welcome and appreciated. I would recommend this course and look forward to playing IMG Academy again soon.

First time playing, after hearing about it for years, unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. The layout was good, but hasn't been properly maintained in some time. Very surprised it an academy of any sort. I've played and will play, much better courses in the area.

Gorgeous course with three different practice areas so you can work on every aspect of your game before hitting the course. The course is a little tight with fairways next to each other but is still a beautiful layout. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. Will definitely be golfing this course in the near future.

I was expecting more out of the IMG course, considering how much students pay. It is average for the area at best. Tee boxes and fairways in below average shape. Greens however were decent even though they were punched. Pace of play was bad but it was Father’s Day so expected. It definitely has the feel of a budget golf course you would only play when there is low rates

Course is let go, starter needs to do better job of separation between groups. Don’t let the other reviews fool you this is a $20 course through and through

Played here numerous times, I think a 4 1/2 hour round was terrible , and avoidable possibly if a ranger would have been present . Tee boxes were in bad shape , and a lot of very dry areas. I know they can do better

I enjoyed the course. Lots of bunkers and not a very long course. It is challenging to play and laid out well. The course was a little rough. There were some tee boxes that needed love, fairways as well. The greens were punched, which they stated and why it was so cheap. I would okay it againand recommended. I just hope they fix the areas of the tees and fairways that need a little TLC.

Fairways and greens are in great shape. Some areas around the greens have weeds and bare spots but you can tell they are putting the work in to make the needed improvements. This was my 3rd time playing IMG over two years. It has improved in quality each time.

Practice green is identical to the course greens. Chipping area is good with the same green. The course, greens and bunkers are all maintained perfectly. Only downfall is there's only room for about 12 -15 people to warm up on the range. In addition, you can't get on the range until 30 minutes prior to tee time. Even so, I have only played it twice but will be on my list monthly. That's because I live in another county 50 miles away.

This is the second time I’ve played this course. We played back in January 2022 and the course was in considerably better shape than in June. I like the layout and the smooth, fast greens but there were a lot of areas - on the tee box and around the greens - that had dirt or dead grass. I’ll be back, but my hope is that the course conditions are more pristine and closer to where they were in the beginning of the year.

Greens were good. Some tee boxes were in poor condition. Fairways were okay, some areas around the greens and in the fairways need attention. No much in the way of drinking water on the course.

Played here last year ( also during summer ) and although the greens are still some of the best I’ve putted on in this area, there seemed to be a lot of weeds this time around. Almost as if no pre emergents were put down early in year to prevent the weeds now present. Also had a few thin almost bare spots on a few fairways. I talked good about this course since the last time I played it but probably won’t after yesterdays round. Until I try it again. Staff was friendly and the beverage cart was around three or four times during the round, a big plus. I’ll definitely play it again just for the greens.
