Manatee Golf Course

Manatee is in the middle of a drought so parts of the course show the effects. Greens were in very good shape, some parts if the fairways showed the stress of the lack of water and the tee boxes showed the same effect. All in all the course was in good shape considering the lack of water

Haven’t played here in a few years but heard the conditions where pretty good considering we are under a severe drought. The fairways were in much better shape than many of the courses around here, the greens were firm and in decent shape but sadly the tee boxes were another story. Another positive thing - they have some really forward tees which was a great advantage to one of our group making pace of play consistent and really made our outing fun. Total time around was about 4.5hrs and the course was full so better than most in that regard

This is the 5th time playing Manatee over the past 6 years. It is very close to where we stay at Anna Maria. It really was in the best condition in the times I have played it. Fairways green and in good shape and the greens really rolled well. Sand Traps were raked nice. The rough was a bit baren but that is understandable. Tee Boxes were fine. Really the only problem was the lack of restroom facilities on the course, which I am sure is being addressed. Everyone from the people in the pro shop to the nice lady at the at the food counter were also very welcoming. Pace of play was a bit slow, but what the heck, I'm retired. If you want to play a nice round of golf in 4-41/2 hours with no pressure and not having to pay $150 for the green fee, check this place out Thanks

I’ve played this course like 8 times over the past 3-4 years and this is the best i’ve seen it out of those times. The greens have had significant improvement.

We followed a group of six! I have never seen a golf course that allowed five much less six! The ranger response was "take your time because it's slow up there". We had to twist their arms to let us play through at the turn. There was no one in front of them and we didn't seem them again till we caught up to someone on the 18th hole.

Great bang for your buck. Greens are super. Grass on the fairways. Fun great layout.

Fairways were ok but could use some water

Tees were rough. Need dirt, grass and water. Overall playable. I’d play there again.

Staff was very helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this course to all types of golfers. You won’t be disappointed. Pace of play was about 4 1/2 hours, which wasn’t too bad.
