Manatee Golf Course

We played 4 courses over 5 days. This had the best conditions by far. Try it. You’ll like it.

We enjoyed our round at this course. The greens rolled true. The course might be a tad dry because of a lack of rain. I thought the layout was quite fun with a good mix of left and right doglegs. The only really negative we would make is that the course is located right next to the waste water treatment plant so depending on the wind direction, the stench can be quite overpowing.

It needs more people working. Had to wait for everything Tee times are too close to each other. Should be at lease 9 min apor

I’ve played this course many times over the past decades. It’s a nice layout and the conditions are pretty good. Greens are very good; no ball marks and fairly quick. Plenty of tee boxes to suit different abilities. Driving range and practice greens available. I wouldn’t recommend it for beginners. Gets really busy in season. Make sure you get a tee time well in advance.

Made a late T-Time (3:50) in order to just have fun on my birthday with my girlfriend. When I made the reservation, I was going to be a single. When I checked in, I told the staff that my GF was going to ride along. He accused me of trying to scam him saying that she was going to play and I was trying not to pay for her. He said it would be $50 for her even though I only paid $35 online. I ended up making a second reservation online and it was strongly the 2 for that tee time.

After hitting balls on the range, I went to the cart area to get a cart at about 3:40. There was a line of people waiting on carts. I got my cart at 4:35. And when the cart guy saw that my GF was riding along, he asked if they had charged me the $18 rider fee. Guess who got scammed.

Well the pace of play was so slow that we got 4 holes in before dark.

Not happy and will not play there ever again.

Very nice public course with good fairways and greens. However, it took 2 hours and 45 minutes just to play the front side. Luckily, several groups quit or we would have had a 6 hour round. They desperately need a Marshall on the course and tee times 7 minutes apart is too little.
