Great value
This is a nice well maintained course. Hole layout was straight forward and not tricky, at least from the silver tees. There were a couple of holes where water would have been hidden but the red stakes and playing with a couple of regulars helped out. Easy to find your ball even if you missed the fairway. The starter and golf shop manager were friendly, making for an enjoyable start. The effort to maintain and improve the course was apparent. This was an excellent value for the area.

Palmetto Pines
Iam from England. Have not been here for 3 years. Lots of changes have taken place. For the good well done everyone involved what a fantastic job you are doing bringing this great course back to its true spleandour (5*). Was a great pleasure your newly renovated course. Fun Yet Challenging Course
I never get tired of this well designed and well maintained course. A couple of years ago a lot of brush was removed from next to fairways which made the course's appearance much more attractive, yet did not eliminate the penalty for errant shots since the trees and Palmetto bushes remained. It also reduced time wasted looking for balls in the brush. Additional improvements are new cart paths that are being put in. The tee boxes and greens are in very good shape. The fairways are fine but not lush, at least not yet following months of no rain. There is a very nice practice range and putting green. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The starter was kind enough to start us on the back nine which we had to ourselves. We were able to play all 18 in less than 3 hours, instead of the usual 4 hours. I highly recommend this course.

Really nice course. When done with updating add a fifth star
Challenging with several long fairways.
A really nice golf course, particularly for an in town location.
The fairways are wide enough to accommodate most players with slight hooks or slices.
Venture off of the fairways too far and you're in a yard, trees, water or sand.
The well maintained water hazards and sand traps make this course increasingly interesting to play. A lot of work was done to change the landscape, fairway rises with bunkers and raised or sloped approaches.
Greens are well kept as well as the fairways. Getting more rain will improve the fairways.
As work continues and finishes on the cart paths, this review will turn to all 5's..
This definitely a course where you will likely use every club..... think strategy.

Slowly Improving
After being disappointed a while back I tried this course again and it was in much better condition. Pleased with greens and overall improvement. Greens could be a little better but not bad.

Great local course
This is a really good fair course. Great for the everyday type of round of golf. The one thing that drove me crazy though though is the huge number of cigarette butts all around the greens. I have never seen so many on one course. Maybe pick them up once in a while? Or even better tell the smoker golfers not be be littering slobs?
