First time
Play was slow, no Marshall anywhere. Greens were dry, hard and too fast. The course smelled of rotten, dead fish. I understand the drought is to blame for the dryness and the dead fish smell but there’s no excuse for not monitoring the pace of play.
Not sure if original review posted
Absolutely not worth the money. Course in horrible shape (especially King). Tons of dead fish carcasses and vultures. Smell was appalling all around clubhouse and beginning tee boxes/finishing greens. Tons of weeds and super dried out. Bottlenecks at driving distance on many holes and blind shots on Queen which I don’t mind but visibility could be improved. Price they’re charging for the shape of the course conditions is robbery. Would not play for half the price if it was across the street from my house. Only pluses were Queen conditions were much better and greens overall were in good shape/fast.
Poor shape, frustrating layout, worse smell
King course was in trash condition, super dry, tons of weeds. Bottlenecks in fairway at driving distance on many holes. Rotting fish on King 1 tee box/hole and all along Queen 9 left hand side. Smell was atrocious all around clubhouse and beginning/finishing holes. Queen was in much better shape and the only redeeming quality of the course although multiple blind shots (don’t mind- kind of cool). Greens for both were also better than rest of course comparatively, which was nice. Paying this amount of money for the condition King was in and the overall smell was absolute robbery. Would not play if across the street from my house and half the price. Pictures on website look way better than actual conditions.
Way over priced
This course is not in good shape. Its not horrible but for $160 it is in bad shape. The Queen course has a horrible layout several blind shots to the green because they refuse to trim the trees in the low lying areas you have to hit over. On one par 3 you struggle to see the green because of this. How can you play a par 3 effectively if you cannot see the pin let alone most of the green.? The King and Queen courses are ok layout but nothing special. If the course was priced around $120 I would consider playing there again but at $160 neatly any other course in the Cape Coral area is a much better value.. staff is fine price is just crazy play palmetto pines just down the road. Same price very nice course and way better everything.
Are you kidding me?
Really? Over 75 dead fish in the pond by the first and 9th hole. Stink that would make you puke. There were also over 150 Turkey Vultures eating the dead fish. So bad in the 9th hole my wife gagged and we quit.
The course is beat. Dried out. Greens are brown. Over $100 per round. Over the top.
It is a beautiful layout with very interesting fairways etc. palm trees and beautiful environs.
Put some of the tee charges and bring the course back to the kind of place they advertise.
Very nice course
First time playing this course. Upon entry you immediately get the vibe that’s it’s a local favorite . All the staff and players that I interacted with were friendly.
The courae was surprisingly more difficult than it appears. Greens were very fast but didn’t look liken they were. You can’t over power the course. It’s a placement strategic layout. I would definitely return on my next visit to the area. Special shout out to for he cart girl for the Motrin and nice conversation as well as the two ladies at the bar/restaurant. Very surprised with my food and wine selection. You guys were awesome
Great Time!
Beautiful course.some very challenging holes. Great sand traps. Rarely had to wait on group ahead of us. Friendly people. Overall a terrific experience.
Service in restaurant
Waitress totally ignored us in the dar/restaurant. Had to go the bar to get our order.
Fun day
If you rent clubs check them when you get them. The 1st set I got was horrible. I was asked to drive back to get a new set but I wouldn’t do that. A beautiful new set was brought out by a wonderful employee he made my day.
We were here on vacation. First golf of the year for us. Course was in great shape. Has some challenging spots but also fairly open for a first of the year round. The lady on the beverage cart was very friendly!
Greens were in good condition and putted fairly well
Cape Coral has too few courses so this course can charge the going rate which is way too high compared to some of the courses either north or south of the Cape. It was average. If you are going for an average experience.
EXCELLENT FACILITY
WE HAD A WONDEUL TIME & THE COURSE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE
How anyone can call this a good value is beyond me. $160 crazy high price for this place. Fairways are not in good shape tee boxes just fair area around the greens is shakey
The kink and prince courses have an average layout and the Queen course is just stupid. Several holes leave you blind shots to the green from the middle of the fairway. One pat 3 it hard to see the green from the tee box. Buy a frickin chain saw and cut down the ditch areas so you can see the green for hevens sake. Bar is dark and a place you feel like hanging out in after a round. Staff is great. Course sucks for the money
