The greens and fairway was in good shape the traps ne e is a little work but plan on a 5 hour round

Beautiful backdrop with the Bay all around you. Pace was very slow at times due to the contrast of difficulty and player abilities. Overall, the view made it worth it if you do not mind a slow round.

This is an OK public course in fair condition. The pace of play was extremely slow, 5.5hrs, waiting many minutes on every tee. I would not play it again.

I have golfed at Cove Cay at least twice a year for the past five years. Today was the absolute worst I have ever played there, all tee boxes had very little grass to hit off of. The fairways were brown and beat up and there were no such thing as greens as all were brown as well. It is a shame the course has gotten to this condition as the view on back nine is exceptional it will be a long time before considering a return it was criminal to be changed 86.00. If anyone is giving this course positive reviews at this time would have to be getting paid to do so.

We really liked the course. Back 9 had some great views of the bay. Did only the 4 stars of condition because over seeding

(perhaps) of the greens. We will come back!

From Northern NJ and have not played golf since October. The weather and course was great. Staff was friendly. The greens were rolling nicely. The only negative was the golf cart. Lots of problems and had to keep turning off and then the cart would go. Will definitely go back.

Course is so narrow. Waste of money conditions are horrible and there isn’t even a starter just go and don’t pay if you are really itching for golf.

Don’t miss fairways or greens. Rough grabs your wedges. Greens are small and quick. Great conditions and great views. Nice layout with some more challenging holes.

This course was way overbooked. My round took over 5 hours to complete. The staff was very friendly but they should have pushed the pace. Most importantly the course should not be so overbooked. This was the longest round I have ever played and I’ve played a lot of golf throughout my life.

Again the staff was very kind and the course overall was in decent shape but the management should really lower the amount of traffic the course receives.

Good value for the area. Course is in great condition for the the price. Pace of play is really bad unfortunately…they need to have a Marshall check in on pace. We had a 6 some and a 7 some in front of us. The staff friendliness is hit or miss. The starter was nice and the pros seem nice. The kid working the pro shop had an attitude. Not a big deal but just something they could improve.

Our foursome had to follow 2 groups of 5. We saw a ranger on hole #1 and that was it. After 9 holes the 3 other people I was playing with left. The 5 people in front of me had the decency to let me play through. When I caught the group in front of them and I asked to play through I was denied. I left after playing 12 holes. Every single hole we waited and I don't mean short waits. When I went to leave I decided to voice my displeasure with the guy in the Pro Shop. That didn't go over well. Got the look like what do you want from me. If you want to spend your golf day waiting every single hole and allow groups of 5 then this course is for you. Too many other courses in the area to play! The course was in decent shape but nothing special believe me!! Golf is supposed to be fun not being at a place where they put as many people as possible on a course and where you sit snd wait and sit and wait!

Course was $70. Took 5.25 hours to finish the round. Course is very tight and very short. Dont even bother taking your driver with you.

Tee boxes are chewed up. Couldnt use the driving range. Putting green was patchy. No where to chip.

For $70 go somewhere else. Horrible management and maintenance.
