Wow!

It was quite the journey to get to this course. Beautiful drive through the Irish countryside through farmland with sheep grazing on the hillsides. Beautiful views of pastures, mountains and lakes. As I got closer to the course the roads got narrower with many turns and sometimes only wide enough for one car. But when I got to the course all I could say was, “Wow, are you serious!” What a beautiful golf course with views that rival Pebble Beach! The staff was extremely friendly and the course itself was in great condition. There are a lot of blind shots and it is very hilly. Greens were in excellent shape. It’s a 9 hole course with different tees for the front and back nines. The second time around I knew better how to play the holes. I also could put the phone away after taking so many pictures the first time around. It was definitely worth the drive to get there and if you get the chance to play Cruit Island, go!

Absolute gem of a course on a perfect day

We got the perfect day, sunny with light wind to play this absolute gem of a golf course. This has to be one of the most picturesque golf courses in the world with beautiful sea and island views from most tee boxes. It is short but quite challenging with quite a few blind shots and crossing fairways. For a small curse it was in pristine condition. It is well worth the drive just to enjoy the scenery getting there.

Golf Now Rip Off

From the club website, I was directed to Golf Now. The Visitor fee rate was €70, which I duly paid for myself and 3 guests. I discovered at the club that the rate for Golf Ireland members was €40. Myself and another guest are long standing Golf Ireland members. The club manager told us we should have called or emailed and booked direct. Last time I will use Golf Now and will delete the App.

Otherwise, this is the best course on the planet. I love playing it!

Get your act together, Golf Now!

Crazy wonderful

Cruit (pronounced Crutch or Crooch) is a crazy little nine hole course with outstanding views and well maintained bunkers, greens, and tees. We loved it. Lots of blind shots, though, with not a lot of direction about where you should be aiming. But that's ok -- follow the locals. Disappointed that the club house had the bare minimum, so bring snacks/sandwiches and drinks with you and enjoy a pub in town afterwards. We rented a cart ($50) and I'm glad we had it bc we had walked two other courses the days before, but it's not necessary. Wish we could have played it twice.

Windy conditions,tough 9 hole course

Went back to play on the Saturday as the course was unplayable with the wind and rain on the Friday.Rory was very welcoming and proactive in getting me a game. All golf visitors to Ireland should play this course ,just for the views.

What a course!

If you haven't played this course..do! As soon as you can!

The layout is quirky, some blind shots but this all adds to the magic of this course. The views... they are just spectacular and worth the green fees on their own.

A brilliant day out and a course you won't forget.

What I picture heaven to look like… magical, magical course!

I couldn’t recommend this course enough to anyone whether you live close or live on the other side or the world, this 9 hole course should be on the top of your bucket list! Absolutely beautiful, from the drive in to the views round this place, this course really does have it all! Brilliantly priced for the quality you get when you come here, everything was just unbelievable, most holes I was left speechless, and as for the 6th hole, well it’s speaks for itself, a golfers paradise, staff and members were soo friendly when we arrived, I would like to thank everyone from Cruit island golf club from the bottom of my heart for giving me such a magical experience and memories that will last a lifetime!

Lastly, special mentions to the green-keepers, keep doing what yous are doing, fantastic!

Amazing Experience

Had a golf day I will never forget. Layout of the 9 hole course features 9 memorable holes. Several holes play along side the ocean. Greens are top drawer, fairways are good and the rough is authentic.

Loved it so much I may drive 3 hours back with my family so they can experience this unique course.

Gentleman working in the shop started the day off wonderfully. Advised me on the culture of the club. Introduced me to some other guests to play with and set me up with a few extra golf balls in case the prevailing wind got the best of me.

If you want an authentic golf experience set in the Wild Atlantic setting this is a gem!
