Not the right fit for me
I wanted to like this course, but couldn't really find enough reasons to. The course was well kept. The driving range is more of an iron range. No hits more than 175 yards allowed and if you don't hit the ball straight it's going in the woods or in the fairway for the first hole. Terrible placement. The layout was a little confusing with the extra 9 holes. The color that defined the different rounds of holes was opposite what they actually were. At times there were tee boxes right next to each other for two different holes. My biggest issue with the course is if you can't hit a straight drive, which many can't, then you're losing your ball almost every time. Houses and trees hug the right side of most Fairways. The Fairways are narrow on most holes near the tee box and that's intimidating for slicers. Got rained out after 9 holes and the course was closed the next day, so I never got to finish my round.
Fun Layout, Disappointing Greens
On vacation down here from Kentucky. Chose this course because of the pictures and reviews. Arrived early and was able to get so swings in on the range. Getting loose was high priority than putting on the practice green. I wish I would’ve checked that first. Super slow greens. And it’s not because they’re losing them. They look dense enough to be cut down another 5 stimps at least. I played from the tips and it had a a great layout. Sand traps play pretty tight. Still had fun, just expected more from a $50 course in Florida.
Coming along
Grass coming back into the fairways, but greens are still extremely slow. A twosome held up by a fivesome of women who refused to let us play through.
Mentioned it to the cart attendant, and comment was “that happens sometimes”.
Should never happen.
Love playing new courses.
While not that technically challenging,, I’m not that good of a golfer, so it was a blast to at every tee box to see what up ahead.
Course was a little rough in places, but overall great place!
Greens in great shape
The course was about 50 minutes from where I live and the value was worth the dive , until we walked in the clubhouse. In the pro shop the jerk behind the desk had an attitude and said what was my tee time , I told him the time and that I booked it and paid for it . He went off on how they don’t do that and I needed proof and no way was I getting a cart without proof. So I showed him my phone to prove it and said just sign for the cart in case I damage it . I was with my son and buddy who just looked like what is his problem. At the turn we 3 hots and coke’s and the lady at the bar was just as rude and piled all 3 dogs in one container that wouldn’t even close and could not even put condiments on them without having to carry each one . It was very clear that they do not want anyone but the regulars to play there . We where on the last hole when a guy in the cart asked if we could hurry in he wanted to leave. I guess they accomplished what they set out to do . Because they sure did make sure that if your not a local you will not enjoy your round. Complete a-holes , don’t waste your time and money.
Good, well maintained course!
Good, well maintained course! Moderate difficulty. Good pace of play.
Plantation Golf and Resort
Great value for the money using a Hot Deal. It's a good layout and a good test from the back tees. The tee boxes are a little crowned and the fairways are pretty sparse in spots, but the greens are excellent.
Challenging course for a high handicap player but I really like it.
Can be a challenge, fairways are a little thin but with the lack of rain it is understandable. Greens were a little slow for my liking but still a good challenge.
1st Time at the Plantation
Challenging course in good shape just beware of gators my husband almost came a little too close this guy was just hanging out... on the back nine and a baby gator on the 2nd hole on the right both by the water.
Good Condition
Overall the course was in nice shape. Could use a little more maintenance, but with the rain we’ve been having it was good.
Refreshment cart. big plus. Overpriced but, at lease it's availble.
I will say that some rain would help this course. Green fees are overpriced for this average course. There are many other courses within a twenty-mile radius that are in better shape and green fees are cheaper.
I will play this course again, only because it's three miles away. May not be paying the high price for early tee times thou.
