Ballamor Golf Club
About
The18-hole track at Ballamor Golf Club is renowned for its usage of the naturally hilly course in its layout. Brian Ault, the designer, utilized the natural terrain and thick forestry and also added subtle modern and traditional touches to create a unique golfing experience.
The golf course doesn't feature any "signature" hole, but each hole is different from the others and they employ the use of almost every type of golf shot. As a composition, the 18 holes create a course that is both challenging and fun. The course also has five sets of tee boxes. Another distinguishing characteristic of the course is its "go out and stay out" philosophy and layout. The golfer starts near the Clubhouse but doesn't end until the 18th green. This allows for a faster game and there is also a halfway house for refreshments.

Never disappoints!
If you wonder what it's like to play on courses in "tour condition", Ballamor is one of the few public courses in NJ that can give you an idea.
Always in great shape, the greens are fast and true. The bunkers have perfect sand! The fairways and fringe are cut tight and the rough is plentiful and tough.
Hands down, one of the top 5 public in NJ!
The course was nice and in pretty good condition. The pace of play was excellent. The fairways had a lot of divots and the greens were a little fuzzy but those were the only two negatives. I guess thats normal for a busy public course and when the weather is 95 plus degrees for a week straight. Overall i would play here again and recommend this to others especially if you could find a deal.
Solid
Ballamor is a staple for our summer trip to the shore. Always in great shape, greens are smooth but a touch slow. They have a few areas on fairways and around bunkers that need TLC but absolutely do not impact the the play. We will continue to play this course every year.
Wow!
Despite extremely high prices, this is the best course in the area. Not a course for beginners or anybody under a 25 handicap. Feels like a course that could have a tour event, it just gives you the feeling of a big treelined course which is very hard to find. After playing it, I am not sure if I will pay the price I did just because it is ridiculous. Every aspect of the course is nearly perfect. Great layout.
A beautiful golf course in excellent condition.
One of the best courses you can play. Ballamor is a south Jersey gem. This course is in Country Club condition. Friendly staff.
Highly rank the entire experience..staff was extremely friendly and accommodating..course was in great condition..pace of play was average but the beautiful scenery made any wait easy..definitely will play again..thx guys
Perfect
Perfect. Even better when I got a deal thru Golfnow.
Great layout. Great service.
Booked last minute. Got great deal. Showed up to play but found out group ahead had been overbooked. Staff was very accomadating and offered free range balls as well as got me out ahead of tee time. Loved the layout. Will definitely play again in future.
Great course
I enjoyed my round, and will definitely play Ballamor again. All of Ottinger's courses are in great shape, and I always enjoy playing them.
Great day on a great course!
Excellent in every way!
I played the round with one of the starters. Jim was friendly & helpful. I appreciated the ease with which he shared his local knowledge on a course that was new to me.
Winter bargain
Golfnow gave me a perfect opportunity to play Ballamor in early April. Both greens and fairways were undergoing a lot of work, but everything was just fine for casual playing. The staff was very nice, letting me play earlier than my teetime. The course is tough but open. Iwill look for a chance to try it again.
One of the best in AC
Played on new years day 2017. Greens were much slower than usual but in good shape. Only bad thing was the pace of play. The 4 some two groups ahead were playing at the mind numbing 5 hour round pace. What ya guys waiting for?
