About
Ron Jaworski’s Riverwinds Golf & Tennis Club is situated along a scenic stretch of grassland between the banks of the Woodbury Creek and the deep harbor marina on the Delaware River. Its location gives it the feel of traditional seaside links courses found in Scotland and Ireland, which is further enforced by the sod-wall bunkers that lurk near the greens. The layout features plenty of water and incorporates the surrounding wetlands as well. One unique feature of the golf course is that the routing winds across a mile-long twisting burn, creating a visually interesting setting. Riverwinds begins with a gentle, mostly flat front nine but the mounding becomes more aggressive as you move onto the back. All of the holes face a different direction, which means you’ll most likely be using all the clubs in your bag to tackle the crosswinds and rugged terrain.

Very enjoyable course
Visiting from New Zealand I had a great day out here, helped by two friendly locals who I joined up with.
The staff were also very friendly, particularly the starter whose name I didn’t take unfortunately.
Not an overly difficult course, the fairways were wide and the greens not too tightly bunkered.
The course is pretty flat and quite spacious. No really tight shots. The front nine was good, but the back nine was better with some more interesting and testing holes. The island green at 17 was memorable but perhaps a little out of context and a bit of a gimmick. Lack of a clubhouse and any practice facilities also felt a bit odd.
Shouldn’t detract from a very fine course though that was in excellent condition and I had a fabulous day.

By far the best course in the Ron Jaworski network. Great views and layout is great!
RIVER WINDS
Great course, unfortunately for us it was the day after a deluge of rain which required cart path only while we were there. very difficult course to play while cart path only. Even still in really good shape
Nice course
Staff are extremely friendly. Just wish the refreshment cart was around more often. It was really hot that day and we saw her once on the front 9.

Overpriced
For $110 this place is way overpriced. The carts are 20 years old, I mean when you’re charging $110 for a tee time you can afford to put some money into new carts with GPS like most other courses have (that charge a lot less for tee times) I will say the course itself is in very good shape and fun to play. Pace was also good. But the price needs to come down or they need to start investing in better on course amenities to justify it.
River winds was awesome
Beautiful course some fun holes 17 is awesome 13 for. Par 5 is fun slightly elevated fast greens
Great day
Overall was great day at course. We got a hot deal for afternoon. Course in great shape.
Was disappointed no water coolers on course to get drink. Saw beverage cart at the bag drop starting but never on the course. Only time to get something was after 9th hole.
Beautiful Course!
Nice open layout, pace of play was good. Greens were quick. Hasn’t rained in awhile so I was expecting it to be a little burnt but it wasn’t bad. Staff was awesome and helpful. Only thing missing is a driving range,
Great course right outside Philly
Had a great afternoon round. Very friendly and helpful staff. Course in great condition. Fantastic youth on course program.
Great links course
You should definitely find time to play this course. It is a fairly open course, in great condition. And it’s a good value for your money. Being convenient to downtown Philadelphia is just another plus
A bit pricey
Played the course a few years ago. Price has almost doubled.
No water stations to refill a water bottle is a big negative.
The course is very good, some very interesting holes.. par 3 17th notably .Had a ragweed infestation on one hole. Quite odd , it was like it was snowing.
Must Play Course In Phila Area
Course conditions were fantastic. Staff was extremely friendly. The course has some great views of the river and Philadelphia skyline on the back 9. Must play if you’re in the area.
Gorgeous course!!
This course was absolutely beautiful! Everything was in great condition even though the greens looked like they were punched about a month ago or so they rolled real nice. It’s definitely a premium price to pay in the area but some of the views of the water and especially their signature hole 17 make you forget about the cost. Can’t wait to go back and bring some friends too!
