Berkshire Valley Golf Course

Course is very hilly and challenging. Gives the feel of a private course with its immaculate course conditions.

Should provide garbage bins. You cannot ask patron to take away the debris, this will create debris everywhere.

Booked on Golf Now paid in advance because of Corona precaution. Got up early, got dressed and drove an hour to the course and to my suprise the course was closed.

Thanks for looking out for me and NOT calling when you knew the course was closed.

Have played here a few times now. Always a good round. Plays long from the tips. Course begins up on ridge and moves down into valley with water/hazards prevalent. Have never been disappointed with conditions. Pace under 4.5 hours, but could be faster. Greens are large and well maintained. Not many blind shots. Will be back!

Might have only been the 2nd or 3rd day open in 2020. Conditions were pretty good, especially compared to other courses that have been open all winter. Greens rolled well, but a bit slow. Pace was fine, overall a good early season round.

With the exception of the starter Garry yelling at us on the 18th hole that we were too close to the green it was a great round. Incidentally, the general rule when there are no Signs is about 30ft from the green. When we walked back to the cart were about 30 ft from the front of the green. The staff should never be yelling at customers. Had he come to us he would have seen we were about 30ft away from the green.

I played 72 different courses this year and BV is technically my home course. 3-4 nights a week in season I'm there practicing and playing.I never tire of the view of the valley from the first tee....I call it Gods country. There are very few courses I would play this often. One of my top 5 in the metro area. Only courses I would enjoy playing this often would be Bethpage Black, Shore Oaks, Ballyowen, Knoll West. Black is my favorite but Berkshire is my very close second. Staff is always friendly and accommodating even when I come in late (sorry).Play a baby cut the first 5 holes and you will.score just fine.Enjoy!!!

Giving this time of year the course conditions were excellent and a fairly challenging course. Even though we got rained on drainage was not a problem. I look forward to playing this course again in better weather!

Very nice layout & course conditions were very good except for the traps. A light dusting of sand with hard pan underneath. Very easy to scratch your clubs or worse hurt your wrists. Tight first 5 holes & then it opens out. Visually spectacular. Green speed & conditions were awesome. Pace of play was 4hrs 10 min. Pretty good for a Saturday afternoon round. Overall experience was v good.

Today was my first time play Berkshire Valley and all I can say is wow! Although starting out, the weather wasn't at its best. Some light to moderate rain and winds didn't help me through the first few holes. The clubhouse staff were very kind and helpful. Knowing I was a single they didn't try to force me with a two or three-some. They did make that suggestion to me, but still told me I could go out and play by myself. Pace of play was what you would expect, average. I was lucky enough to have three groups let me play through them. I finished my round in just under 3 1/2 hours. Holes weren't too challenging but they weren't a walk in the park either. This course will expose some of your weakness' but the course conditions and views will keep your mind at ease. A must play for all players! I will definitely be back!
