Course is in great shape again people need to fix ball marks on greens

I didn't enjoy the round we waited EVERY single shot! We had an 11:30 tee time and they had a group go out at 11:20 and 11:25 ridiculous! This course often packs groups with no ranger on 1st tee making each group wait until the group in front reaches the green. Bowling Green does this and they always have a 4-4 1/2 hr round They also have a grill between the 10th and 12th hole which always backs things up because they dont have a call ahead system like Black Bear and Bowling have which keeps the pace of play going on those courses I like the course but because of slow play I only play berkshire a few times during the year as opposed to Bowling where I play 20-25 rounds a year! Also you don't get a senior discount if you dont live in the county! It was a beautiful day today but I didnt enjoy it and lost interest with all the waiting! 5hrs 15 minute round horrible!

This was my first experience at Berkshire Valley and I was very impressed with the golf course.. This first five holes are demanding, so make sure you are warmed up before you get started. The start of the course runs along the mountain ridge and then the course drops down into the valley for the remainder of the round. I can say that this was one of the better conditioned public courses that I have played in NJ and the greens were smooth and moderately fast. The only blemish on an otherwise great experience was the time it took us to complete our round..we started at 12:10 and we did not finish until 5:20. Extremely slow with no Ranger in sight until the 14 th hole. I know the couse was busy but still no reason for 5+ hour round.. Other thsn paceof play....highly recommended!

Well maintained golf course and I will try this again.

This a visually beautiful and difficult course that creates many challenges for all levels of golfers. However after several days of rain this course was soaked and play was made more difficult by drenched fairway turf. This course was unplayable and should have been closed until drier conditions prevailed.

Challenging and fun! Love the design layout and narrow first 5holes. Greens and fairways are in great conditions.

Drove an hour to play the course and the condition of the greens was excellent. Overall conditions were excellent and it was cart path only. It is an extremely difficult piece of property for a golf course and the designer did a great job. First 4 holes are very tight and did not pull out a driver until the 8th. Wind tends to swirl. Had played the near by Bowling green which had liked but this is a better course. Played from the blues and it was a good test of golf.

No course supervision. People playing the Blacks when they should play the Whites. I had 3 - 5 hr rounds and 1- 5hr 20min round this year. Great course great greenskerper. Pooor course management leads to excessive round times. What happened to 4-1/2 hrs

Good value for the round. Decent drive from Manhattan. NO driving range on Thursday mornings before 10am...were told upon arrival that local town residents complain about the mowers, so they shut the range to cut it on Thursday mornings. This is a challenging course, and going in cold made the first 6 holes more difficult than they already are. Try playing a 240 yard par 3 as your second hole after only two full golf swings on the first hole :) Lot of rain the night before meant cart path only which slows play on a hilly course. Definitely coming back, though! Interesting, challenging track. Lots of changing wind angles because of how the forest was cut back! Clubhouse restaurant needs more thought. Normally we stay for lunch after a round, but headed down the road to Taphouse 15 for a decent meal and good craft beer selection.

Great course! Nice layout! However tee times were 5 minutes apart too close causing you to wait on every shot!
