Berkshire Valley Golf Course

Berkshire is a scenic and challenging public course. However, most tee boxes were in bad shape. Additionally, golfers are not replacing divots on the course and repairing divots on the greens. Poor etiquette.

Tough, fair golf course. Very enjoyable to play. Hot deal makes it special. Great shape for early in the season

Love this course. It’s challenging band fun. Beautiful views in every hole. Can’t wait to play it again.

Really beautiful course with lots of great holes always in tip top condition, only problem I ever had with Berkshire is getting tee times

First time playing Berkshire Valley, and this course rivals private country clubs. Beautiful course layout, impeccably maintained, a lot of very fun and challenging holes, and a pleasant staff. We had a slight frost delay, but the staff handled it wonderfully. Once out there, it was a great pace of play (especially with so few people that day) which really allowed us to enjoy the course. I can't say enough great things about the course. I will definitely be back.

It was a beautiful day and the course was in great shape. It's always fun to play at Berkshire Valley.

Course was in overall great condition. Fairways were in great shape. Greens were fast. A little pricey for a Wednesday morning but I would still play it again.

One of the most scenic courses I've played in NJ. The conditions were just ok though. Some chewed up fairways and many unfixed ball marks on greens. Sand traps were not great either. Don't regret playing there at all though and would definitely return. It's challenging so be on your game if you play there.

Played Friday 8/22/2025,beautiful day, love playing here but greens could be improved due to many spike marks,unrepaired ball marks,bumps and blemishes,as well as some bare and uneven tee boxes, improvements needed in these areas oterwise aunion,nj beautiful golf layout.,

The starter sent us up while other people were just starting too tee off then before the people in front of us were don’t teeing off there was another group waiting behind us. Course definitely feels rushed and start just sends people up no matter tee time. But besides that it’s an absolutely beautiful 18 holes

Friend wanted to play this course. Was advised the course was in bad condition from many regulars that play here, and to avoid. Woman in pro shop check in was pleasant . Young man starter was super nice guy. Got paired up with two other golfers. Overall was in better shape than last round I played here. You can tell they are trying to get golfers back. They have more water coolers out on the course . The tee boxes were in decent to good shape, The greens still had a lot of ball marks , But were cut good and rolling fast. Fairways were in good shape . Sand Traps have always been in terrible condition , You can tell they fluffed them up a little, Still need to put sand in traps . The place was a ghost town at 7am to 11am on a Sunday beautiful weather , Looks like a lot of golfers are staying away because of condition and price. Finished the round in 4 hours ,Melanie the cart girl was pleasant and she was around all day for our round very nice girl. Melanie advised us there was an outing at 12pm. Overall they are trying, still needs work in Sand Traps , But greens were better and tee boxes were better, Fairways have a lot of divot marks. They need to put some money into sand traps like Herron Glen did, they put 650k into traps, That's why Herron Glen has the nicest traps in NJ and is best public course in New Jersey again . Kudos to Berkshire for trying to fix this place. A lot more to go but keep it going.
