Royce Brook Golf Club - East Golf Course

The east course is a rather easy course with few trees, it more link-style course, The course is ok but it is early in the golf season, it will play better later in the year.

I played this course earlier in the season and was very nice ! Winter conditions are not as good . Sand traps filled with water or leaves or both! Greens are bumpy and SLOW!

Cart path only due to wet conditions. Will play it again.

Considering I played on 12/31 the course was in rather good shape. The greens were in excellent shape, for December and I hope they remain this way. I'm looking forward to see what the spring brings for this course, hope the trend continues upward.

Interesting layout, more so on the back 9 which is more open, too. Solid par 3s that are challenging, but not overwhelming. Pace of play on the front was about 2 hours, but back 9 backed up considerably. Could have used a starter and a ranger to maintain pace of play. There was none in site and group in front of us got slow and people had gone off the front separately when they should have been together. For the money paid, not great. But, still a great time! Let’s get back to normal and so glad you’re open!!

I’ve played here plenty of times before and it is progressively getting in worse shape. They have a private 18 golf course as well, so I assume they put most of the upkeep for that course. The public course has a decent layout just needed some TLC on the tee boxes and bunkers. One would normally chalk this up to being December and the course being wore out but I’ve played other courses in the area that are in much better shape. Every course is different and presents different challenges to the Greens keepers so who know.

Considering there wasn’t a starter and I had to check in inside for a prepaid round with a person who obviously was frustrated because of ,I was pleasantly surprised .

The course is in great shape except for the sand traps ( mostly filled with water). Also , pace of play was without any delay .

Greens held true even after recently being air rated . Wish day light didn't run out missed the last two holes

Course conditions(fairways and greens aerated. Greens also had a heavy dose of sand) did not merit $100 green fees

Played this last Sunday. Great weather....course in decent shape. Some bunkers not draining well but others were in great shape in spite of no rakes. Foursome 2 groups ahead were slow and could have used a ranger to remind them to pick up the pace. Would play there more often but do think it’s over-priced vs other options.
