About
The 27-hole Neshanic Valley Golf Course is the flagship course of the Somerset County Park Commission system. The renowned design team of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry created the course. Divided into three nines known as the Lake, Ridge, and Meadow, the course provides three different 18-hole combinations. Each par-36 nine has five different sets of tees. The Meadow/Lake Course features ample amounts of fescue along both the fairways and greens. If you don't hit straight off the tees, you may find yourself in some trouble. There are cavernous bunkers framing the greens, which are also subtly sloped for even more of a challenge. The golf course begins and ends with water holes but you'll find environmentally sensitive wetland areas that come into play throughout. In addition to the 27-hole course, Neshanic Valley also has a nine-hole, par-32 Academy Course.

A Great Golf Course, Nothing More
Neshanic was in great shape today. The greens rolled very well and we’re pretty quick. The staff was 50-50. Some people were friendly others were a bit miserable. But once you’re on this well maintained course you completely forget about the customer service. The food was eh, ok for a quick bite and priced a little high for something that is pre made and kept in a warmer/cooler. They could do a better job at maintaining the bathrooms. I found them to be a bit dirty and neglected in some aspects. At the end of the day you’re there to play golf,. The course will give you a great challenge and it’s very well maintained for a public course.
So hard to get a tee time, but was able to book a great time a few days before we played.
Finished our round in 3:45, which is amazing.
Course was in great shape as always.
Will play here whenever I can get a time

Definitely going back. We played Meadow-Lake and it was a perfect day on the course.

Great course, terrible pace, zero amenities
Neshanic always in great condition, pace PF play though horrible..4hr 40 minutes groups on top of each other…I was forced to share a cart with a stranger who had no business being on a golf course..also Cart girl with no beer…apparently no more liquor license but they don’t want you to bring your own

Course was in good condition but staff was basically useless. They don't even sell bottled water? It was close to 90° Cart had garbage and used band aids in it.
County Course with Private Course conditions
Neshanic Valley is always a joy to play because of the layout and the conditions. It is pricey if you do not have a county card or do not get a "Hot Deal". However, it is worth occasionally paying the higher price.
Nice course fly through
It was expected to rain by weather Forcast. However, it was cloudy all afternoon with very few people on the course. The course condition is excellent. We finished a round in 3 hours.
Still no water or cart girl
I’ve had to pack my own water for the past 2 years at this course now and still no sight of cart girl. Otherwise course is always in tier 1 condition!

Birthday Round
I took my son-in-law here for his birthday, we’d played here before and absolutely love this course! It’s as good as most Country Clubs and in excellent condition! Highly recommend it!
