About
The 27-hole Neshanic Valley Golf Course is the flagship course of the Somerset County Park Commission system. The renowned design team of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry created the course. Divided into three nines known as the Lake, Ridge, and Meadow, the course provides three different 18-hole combinations. Each par-36 nine has five different sets of tees. The Meadow/Lake Course features ample amounts of fescue along both the fairways and greens. If you don't hit straight off the tees, you may find yourself in some trouble. There are cavernous bunkers framing the greens, which are also subtly sloped for even more of a challenge. The golf course begins and ends with water holes but you'll find environmentally sensitive wetland areas that come into play throughout. In addition to the 27-hole course, Neshanic Valley also has a nine-hole, par-32 Academy Course.

Excellent Experience
Great course felt like I was in Ireland or Scotland. Terrific staff and the course was in perfect condition. Loved the experience and will go back to play.
Nice Day of Golf
Played Meadow and Ridge, Lake was being aerated, Meadow and Ridge the next 2 days. Course in great shape but greens were beat up with lots of ball marks, my thinking it was a good time to aerate them.
Fantastic
This is a public course which presents itself as a private course- conditions were fantastic- from the tee box’s, fairways, bunkers and greens. Well done Neshanic,,
VERY HOT
While it was NEAR 100 degrees they decided it was ok to send the cart girls home at 4pm of course we DID NOT see at all from our 1:30 start time
The course was in better than decent shape and the staff was their usual spot on and professional.
It really is common sense to leave someone available to service the courses in such harsh temp conditions
Fun Morning Round of Golf
I walked out as a single as paired with 2 senior men and one female single not knowing what to expect. The pro shop attendant and the starter were very nice people. The people I played with were very friendly and we had a fun round of golf. The course was in great shape and we finished the round in less than 4.5 hours. I am visiting from out of state and will come back and play this course the next time I am visiting the area.

This is an excellent course that is worth the drive and the money spent. Always well maintained.

We drive up from northeast philly cause we really like it. Fair but challenging. Especially if u play from right tees
Local golfer
Pace of play was the worst I've ever encountered there. No ranger. I seen a foursome on the 16th hole take 24 minutes to complete a short par 4 while 2 groups were waiting on the tee box behind them. No etiquette! Need a ranger. First 9 was an hour and 40 minutes. The second 9 was 3 hours. Should not happen!
The course was in great condition except the greens. The greens were not in good shape. Ball marks were not fixed and some had faded.

The entire facility is top notch for being public. Pace of play at times could be better.
