About
The 27-hole Neshanic Valley Golf Course is the flagship course of the Somerset County Park Commission system. The renowned design team of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry created the course. Divided into three nines known as the Lake, Ridge, and Meadow, the course provides three different 18-hole combinations. Each par-36 nine has five different sets of tees. The Meadow/Lake Course features ample amounts of fescue along both the fairways and greens. If you don't hit straight off the tees, you may find yourself in some trouble. There are cavernous bunkers framing the greens, which are also subtly sloped for even more of a challenge. The golf course begins and ends with water holes but you'll find environmentally sensitive wetland areas that come into play throughout. In addition to the 27-hole course, Neshanic Valley also has a nine-hole, par-32 Academy Course.

Title says it all. Pace of play is a nightmare here and they don’t do anything about it. After my 2:35 front 9 I said something and the response was “it’s a full tee sheet”. Absurd
Where’s the signage?
I was the passenger, my friend drove the cart,
Way too many times the cart entered restricted areas, Some were no exaggeration, 30-40 yards from the green. There’s a need for no carts signs. Without them the cart was prohibited from entering an area without warning.
Having to back up., etc, it got frustrating.
That aside, —- excellent course, the best of the Somerset Co. Courses .
There are no water stations on the course to refill your water bottle. This is a course which used to provide free bottles of water before you start your round

Great Course
Hard to get a tee time but so worth it when you are here. They were ahead of schedule so they pushed groups of 2 which didn't help pace of play and if they would have held a group or two for 5 mins itnwould have lessened the pressure on the course . . . Just my overview . . .
A great value
You can’t play courses as well kept as this for under $100 these days and that’s what you have. Always a great track and practice facilities are top notch
The only reason why I didn't give a 5 star for the conditions is because of the greens .

Been playing here for over 15+ years. The greens were a bit slow because of recent aeration. Give it a week, should be in great shape.

Condition to notch, tee too green. Staff friendly and efficient. Wonderful experience overall. Must play. Will be back.
VG track
First time playing this course. When you first drive in you pass by the academy course and driving range. As you approach the very large club house it has a private country club feel. There are 27 holes. The staff was friendly. The course lay out would have been more challenging, but we were paired with 2 gents that were familiar with the course. Who advised us of where we wanted to be on each hole. The course conditions were very good for late April. The greens were very fast for that time of year. I now understand why it's a top rated public course.
