Neshanic Valley Golf Course is a 27-hole layout that was designed by the renowned team of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry. The course is divided into three nines that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The nines -- the Lake, Ridge, and Meadow -- are named after the different features of the varied terrain but each par-36 nine has five different sets of tees, which provides playing options for all skill levels. On the Meadow/Ridge Course you'll find ample fescue along the fairways and greens. The greens are especially tricky since not only are they framed by massive bunkers, the putting surfaces are also contoured. Though the slopes are subtle, they can be very tricky. There is a pond on the front nine and environmentally sensitive wetlands come into play throughout.

Great course! But staff not so much.

I walked in for 10AM tee time. The person in the counter did even say Good Morning or welcome. I asked can I use the range"range is closed" that's it. He then tells me that are mowing it. It's 10AM!!! Why are they cutting the grass on the range knowing there are many people waiting to use the range.

*** I then realized the whole day they had workers cutting the grass, fixing bunkers, all through out the time we were playing.

I just don't understand how they can't do it earlier in the morning like other courses.

Other then that, the Ranger was good, course was great, but the guy working behind the counter needs to change his attitude.

Be straight!

A very nice course. Probably the best county course in the area. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are in excellent shape and well maintained. Greens were a little slower today than in the past but true.

Course layout is quite nice with some challenging holes thrown in. The first cut of rough is quite high and second shots will depend on how your ball lies. The fescue is almost impossible to hit out of. You better hit straight on this course or there will be a lot of lost balls!

Overall a good day out and a good test of golf.

Great weekend morning on the links

The course is in great shape. We played the Meadow and Lake 9s on a Saturday morning in under 4 hours. The course was in great shape - greens rolled true, fairways were healthy, green, and well maintained. We played the gold tees which play at 6,645 yards. A very challenging course but not overly punishing. Many tee shots are fairly open which helps inspire confidence when needing a big drive on a long hole. Overall it was a great day of golf.

Slow play

Front 9 on Ridge took 2:25 minutes...ridiculous. While able to get full 18 in before sunset, it was a slow and frustrating pace of play.

Neshanic Valley: A Peak experience

Course was in great condition – bent grass greens/fairways/tees; nice white sand in bunkers; thick bluegrass rough around the greens (easy to get your club under the ball for delicate chips).

This could be classified as a links-type course - very few trees to worry about. Fairways are fairly wide; I felt the course gave my driver “room to breathe”, which is nice.

Three nines here. We played the Ridge-Meadows combo from the Blue tees (~6,100 yards). Although the course can be challenging, I thought the 129 slope was overstated.

Big clubhouse, good carts. Didn’t see the bar/restaurant that might be there.

I’d give an overall rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

Challenging excellent course well served

Very nice course, challenging and fun to play

Staff refused to let me start early despite there was no one starting, but I know that’s the rule

When I started I was between multiple groups and Pace after I started was too rushed

Club house burger was very good prices are reasonable

Overall I love this course and this club

I have been member of its academy for several years

Best course on the county

Amazing municipal course

Can’t heap enough praise on the pristine conditions of this course. Tee boxes, fairways, greens are meticulous. I don’t think I saw a burned out spot on the course. Bunkers full of soft sand and raked like a resort course. Great views and many interesting holes, put on your big boy pants if you’re going from the tips. Love grass tee boxes on the driving range and great putting green in front of the clubhouse.

Yes it is not ideal that they don’t have water on the course, but I’m happy to bring my own water bottles and pay $55 (county card) riding for a course that easily holds it’s own against $125+ private courses. By far the best course I’ve played all year.

Great condition, well run, great experience.

I played this course recently while entertaining a client and it was almost perfect. The course was in great shape, challenging enough but not an impossible test and the facility was run well by a friendly staff. The course provided a good experience from a business standpoint - the facility is relatively new and has a classy feel, without making me burn through my expenses budget and we finished in 4 hours. The only areas for improvement I'd suggest for management are; get some drinking water on the course (a free bottle in the cart is a nice touch but doesn't sustain for a full day in 90 degree weather), and get a beverage cart on the premises. We didn't see a cart gal all day.
