About
White Oaks Country Club is carved from the mature pinelands of Newfield in south Jersey. Towering oak trees frame the golf course, separating each hole and giving each one a secluded feel. There are several challenges in store on this layout including massive strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, but it is also forgiving enough to accommodate beginners. The golf course does not have just one hole that it considers its signature but in fact, multiple holes. There is the par-5 seventh which stretches to a monstrous 621 yards and the par-4 ninth features a tricky second shot over water to a double green. These two challenging holes take advantage of the landscape's natural contours. The 17th is yet another signature hole, it has been voted the "toughest par 3 in South Jersey."

Course in good shape for January. Greens were pretty good...the course was soggy but expected.

Leaves EVERYWHERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is Dec. 8 and all the grounds crew has to do is LEAVES. No grass to cut or anything else. Instead of laying off all the staff clean the course.
There are still holes in greens due to LATE areation and tee boxes and faiways are poor.
Only paid $20 but that was $10 TOO much.
If you hit a ball into trap area then you never found it due to leaves. Lost more balls in "1" day than I have in the last 30 rounds.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the leaves on the course. We understand your frustration and will address the issue with our grounds crew to ensure a more enjoyable golfing experience. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I need a bigger milk carton!
This is a great time of year for getting rid of any old golf balls that you don't want. Half expected to lose my wedge when exchanged for putter around the greens. Can.t wait to return as i got a lot of old golf balls, most of which i found here last year at ths time..

Considering the time of the year the course was in good shape, and the leaves are well taken care of. I will come once a week here if it was it one hour away from my house.

South Jersey golf this time of year is about finding your balls in the leafs. Can’t be helped, even on the fairway.
There was an early morning frost delay so even at my 1:24 pm tee time things were way, way, way backed up. Got 9 holes in and accepted that’s all we were getting in.

Look the other way
Just about every tee box from hole 1 to hole 18 is poor condition or worse. Fairways have a lot of dead areas where there is no grass. Lots of gravel in sand traps. Played here about 3 times this year and the greens which use to be very nice are just poor conditions at best. If I could give this course a half star I would. Place really needs alot of attention. The prices are not to bad but it’s really not even worth the $20-$30 they charge. Pace of play is what it is. It’s kind of up to you if you pair yourself with anyone or group. It could be a fun place if conditions were not so bad but definitely would not recommend coming here.
Almost cancelled our time here after reading you review. So glad we didnt...this coures is no country club but your review is full of lies. Tees were not bad at all fairways were decent. and the greens even though being aerated a week before rolled very nice and the sand traps were ok. For what they charge this course cant be beat. So glad you wont be coming back I hate golfing with snobs.

Pace of play. 5 hour round
The 3 Foursomes in front of us all regularly took two shots a piece from the tee. Course layout lets you see who’s in front of you pretty easily. No course ranger to correct that. That lead to a 5 hour round.
Lots of green yet ball was one the ground with many tight lies.
They have to think about leave removal this time of year. Blowing it into the woods only lets it blow back.
Great value for the money though.

Needs lots of love
Half these reviews must be fake! Greens were aeirated and it was never mentioned, leaves every where, tee boxes were rough the whole course is pretty beat up, bunkers all have big rocks. Course just needs to shut down for a few months to let it get healthy. Has potential but definitely slacking from what it was 10yrs ago. I use to be a member but i would never join this place. Staff was friendly, carts were nice. But definitely annoying that we took a day off from work and played the only course with holes all over the green in November. Pace of play is just under 5hrs
