About
White Oaks Country Club is carved from the mature pinelands of Newfield in south Jersey. Towering oak trees frame the golf course, separating each hole and giving each one a secluded feel. There are several challenges in store on this layout including massive strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, but it is also forgiving enough to accommodate beginners. The golf course does not have just one hole that it considers its signature but in fact, multiple holes. There is the par-5 seventh which stretches to a monstrous 621 yards and the par-4 ninth features a tricky second shot over water to a double green. These two challenging holes take advantage of the landscape's natural contours. The 17th is yet another signature hole, it has been voted the "toughest par 3 in South Jersey."

Surprised
Haven't played here in many years since moving away. Was pleasantly surprised by conditions of the course. Way better than I have ever seen. Definitely go play it!

Average Muni course
This is an average course. Nothing really stands out. The best hole on the course in my opinion is #9. If you hit a good tee shot, you have about a 100 yard shot over water to a small sloping green. Stay out of the bunkers, they are filled with stones. These are about the worst bunkers I have played in this year. If you want to get a good round of golf in, this is a good choice. Nothing fantastic just a nice course. The bright spot in the course is the 19rg hole. The bar/restaurant is excellent, their food is fantastic.

If it wasn't for the rocky sand traps......I would wait is an excellent course.

The course was well-maintained on a clear day, allowing my wife and I to play golf well. I went almost every week, but the course condition was good today.

Hidden Gem ( Literally)
I’ve come to the Jersey shore for 29 years and have played all of the local favorites. Decided to venture out a little further from OC, got a Hot Deal and headed to White Oaks. About 40 minutes from OC. So Happy I decided to go. New club house. Course conditions are great. Traps, fairways, tees and greens are awesome. Almost every hole is a tree lined fairway, so hitting it straight is helpful. Played at 10:20, on 4th of July in 100 degree temp. Not many patrons on the course. Played in 3:40 minutes.
Great variety of tees for all abilities. Bunch of doglegs so playing smart was also at a premium. Don’t need a driver on every hole. Course is off the beaten path, but absolutely worth the few extra minutes. Clubhouse staff and beverage girl worked hard in the heat! Highly recommended!

Course is fun and you can’t beat the price. Staff is awesome.
