White Oaks Country Club

About
White Oaks Country Club is carved from the mature pinelands of Newfield in south Jersey. Towering oak trees frame the golf course, separating each hole and giving each one a secluded feel. There are several challenges in store on this layout including massive strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, but it is also forgiving enough to accommodate beginners. The golf course does not have just one hole that it considers its signature but in fact, multiple holes. There is the par-5 seventh which stretches to a monstrous 621 yards and the par-4 ninth features a tricky second shot over water to a double green. These two challenging holes take advantage of the landscape's natural contours. The 17th is yet another signature hole, it has been voted the "toughest par 3 in South Jersey."

Poor start and pace of play
Waited a long time to start past my start time. Pace of play of the foursome 2 holes in front of me was like molasses. And the guy behind me, kept hitting up on me. I quit after 10th hole. The course itself wasn’t in the best of shape. Tee boxes were dirt, fairways had big clumps of crab grass in them. The greens weren’t bad. Was just too aggravated to continue. Told staff about all the issues and they were pretty much like oh well. Waste of fifty bucks. Won’t be back there.
I like this course
Some of the fairways are narrow, lined with lots of trees. Tee boxes and greens are in good shape.
some work to do
Love the layout.
Pace of okay was slow.
Sand traps need work.
Fairways need work.
Tee boxes very good.
going DOWN hill AGAIN
This course starts the season with promise and then FAILS to PROACT to weather conditions and allows course to deteriorate.
Fairways being plugged that should have been done 3 or4 weeks ago so water could be absorbed. Trees being trimmed and piles of debris left preventing you from finding your ball. Why is this not done in WINTER when sap is not running in trees and no one is playing?
It is always the same old thing NOTHING changes for the better at White Oaks.
Will still give credit to greens that are fast and true BUT hard as a rock so good luck in stopping a ball.
Not great
Similar to what everyone else is saying, tee boxes were bad a lot of bare spots, not flat, few of the tee boxes were big and all areas of it were bad even if they moved it. fairway was bad a lot of weeds and where there was grass it was pretty high. However greens were great. Cart girl was good saw her maybe 4 times on the front 9. However only played front 9 because it was 3.5 hours to get through it. There was a ranger that hung around between 1 and 9 but didn’t do anything didn’t even say hello just drove by. The pace of play was horrible mixed with a pretty bad course I didn’t even bother asking if they offered a rain check for the back 9 I’ll take my loss not planning to go back.
Don’t recommend
The course was bunkers filled with rocks and dried up water hazards. Was playing the whole time with sprinklers on meanwhile it just poured. Hitting in the fairway was more as a penalty as they were just trying to see how much they could soak the ground today.
Could be nice but not
Condition of this facility is pretty pathetic tee to green and rocks in the traps ? the carts GPS was beeping while on cart path and when parked greenside.
Good time ; nice staff
Good time . Nice cart girl with the black hair. Dude in pro shop is cool too. No complaints . Couple spots roped off looked like GIR but we pretty much drove the carts where we wanted within reason. GPS on the carts is bonus . Shanky was there
Great course for price
Couple bad spots, fairways and greens were good real nice layout back 9 is real tight overall real good course for what we paid.
Slow Play
Tees and fairways are in poor shape. No rangers on the course to monitor slow play. I’d skip playing here when there are so many better alternatives.
Nice course, good condition, friendly course
Starter was great to let me off 2 hours early as it was a little cooler on a 100 degree day.
