White Oaks Country Club

About
White Oaks Country Club is carved from the mature pinelands of Newfield in south Jersey. Towering oak trees frame the golf course, separating each hole and giving each one a secluded feel. There are several challenges in store on this layout including massive strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, but it is also forgiving enough to accommodate beginners. The golf course does not have just one hole that it considers its signature but in fact, multiple holes. There is the par-5 seventh which stretches to a monstrous 621 yards and the par-4 ninth features a tricky second shot over water to a double green. These two challenging holes take advantage of the landscape's natural contours. The 17th is yet another signature hole, it has been voted the "toughest par 3 in South Jersey."

Poorly run
Showed up early to tee time for 3:18. Didn’t matter because we waited over 20 minutes past our time because the course didn’t have any carts! When a 4some finally came off 18 we given their carts and said they don’t have time to clean trash and they also ran out of gas and can’t fill them up so they don’t know if it will last the round!!!!!! The course was so over booked despite the wait for a cart 2 groups where still on first tee!!! Pace of play is terrible. 3&1/2 hours for 9 holes on a flat basic course is ridiculous. Not a ranger is site to help speed up play. They were “all inside taking it easy”. If u have 8 hours to kill and enjoying waiting this is the place for u. Won’t be back.
S L O W. … needs work
Avoid on Weekend
Late afternoon tee time, I quit after 12 holes,
3hrs45mins. No Ranger.
Courses tree lined fairways have grow in over the decades causing several holes to be very tight.
Not meant for average or below golfers, causing
most people to be in trees searching, hacking and delaying play, combined with lack of rough letting shots roll into woods.
Wouldn’t recommend to anyone that have young children to ride with u because the tried telling me no riders allowed plus they have no course management to keep the the play going it took 3 of us 5 hrs because we continuously had to wait for the groups in front of us
Monday at White Oaks
We were the 2nd or 3rd group out. The fairways were a little soggy but not water logged. I especially liked that they cleared the areas between the fairways (the wooded boundaries between fairways) of leaves; it made ball retrieval faster. The greens were recently aerated but the holes were so small that it really didn’t affect the ball roll out towards the flag. A couple of evil hole placements (on slopes) kept it interesting.
As for the amenities, it was Meatball Monday. We had a round of drinks and meatballs sandwiches and called it a day.
Wet and damp
Course was wet in areas and the rest of the course was damp. Tee boxes and greens were In playable condition with some bare spot in the fairways. As for the price everything doubled form the spring.
Much Better
Conditions great and pace was too! After a lot of aggravation in prior rounds this was so much better!!!
Great time with Friends
Had an awesome time playing golf with some of my High School classmates.
Graduates of Bishop Eustace Class of '73.
Will definitely do it again and again.
Thank you
getting better
Course shows improvement. Greens were very good, fast and true.
Fairways and tee boxes were OK
Traps are still very poor. No sand just dirt and stones.
Overall, it was a good experience
Not worth the money you pay
This course is too expensive for its quality. The bunkers have nothing but rocks. The fairway is shredded up. The greens are basically like hitting on cement. I’ve played it three times and I won’t go back. I damaged clubs hitting out of the bunker and emailed the owner and they didn’t have enough respect to return an email.
Great Greens!
The greens are in fantastic shape. A must play for the money.
