About
White Oaks Country Club is carved from the mature pinelands of Newfield in south Jersey. Towering oak trees frame the golf course, separating each hole and giving each one a secluded feel. There are several challenges in store on this layout including massive strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, but it is also forgiving enough to accommodate beginners. The golf course does not have just one hole that it considers its signature but in fact, multiple holes. There is the par-5 seventh which stretches to a monstrous 621 yards and the par-4 ninth features a tricky second shot over water to a double green. These two challenging holes take advantage of the landscape's natural contours. The 17th is yet another signature hole, it has been voted the "toughest par 3 in South Jersey."

Lost another one
Hardest bunkers you'll ever play out of. Don't believe me, try hitting a ball that you'll never find. Other than that Mrs. Lincoln how did you like the play! I enjoyed it very much thank you,' and I'll come back soon.

One draw back
The carts need to be upgraded or replaced as cedar.

Challenging layout but pick up the leaves!
Played a round with a friend and we both liked the layout. Tight fairways are challenging along with the numerous bunkers that make their presence known.
Greens were very good. Very disappointed in the volume of oak leaves all over the course and in the sand traps.

Horrible Communication
Had an 11:00am tee time. Showed up around 10:15am to a parking lot full of golfers. Went into the pro shop to see what was going on. Found out there was a 2 hour frost delay. No phone call, text, or email of any kind. Would have been nice to not have driven an hour + to be told i wouldn't tee off till 1pm and with the amount of golfers ahead there was no way we would get 18 holes in. Extremely disappointed with the lack of any communication from management and staff. Would not recommend going here.

Fall Cleanup
Greens and fairways in excellent shape.The only problem was the sand traps.It appears they are being used to store leaves. Most also have ponding. To be fair, its been very moist lately.Knee deep leaves in bunkers is unacceptable.

Conditions re: White Oaks Golf Club
I play golf quite a bit at different courses in southern New Jersey and Pennsylvania… This particular course has a nice layout and greens were in pretty good shape for mid December… Fairways were also halfway decent for mid December... my main gripe involves the deplorable condition of 90% of the sand bunkers particularly around the greens… They were filled with a foot or more of dead leaves and 8 to 14 inches of water that look like it had been sitting there for months ...if you hit your ball in the sand trap there was no way you were finding it... looks like they laid off their entire grounds crew back in September or October because that’s how bad the grooming was especially the sand bunkers...Also as I was standing in the pro shop by the check-in counter three different older men walked in 5to 10 minutes apart and just stated that they were a senior walking the course... did not give a name or reservation number and before we knew it they were Playing in front of us… I guess you can just walk up and play if you’re a senior?

Leaf Traps
Overall course conditions were good unless you ended up in a trap. If you did count on it being a lost ball because the traps were full of leaves. Almost every trap was full of leaves, some with water and leaves. There could be more effort to clear the leaves seeing how there are no more falling. That aside we had a good and I guess you would say normal 5 hour round of Sunday golf.

Hour and a half frost
They should notify you prior to a hour and a half frost delay.Give you a chance to play or not. Don't make it look like it's all about making money.

Frost delay
If your going to have an hour a 1/2 frost delay, I would recommend some communication to the people who booked tee times. Givd them the opportunity cancel if they feel it will be too late for them. I was just able to finish my round, anyone after would not be able too see due to darkness.

Terrible !!!
So they had a 1 1/2 hour frost delay in the morning there - I guess the kids (that seem to be operating the place) didn’t know how to push the groups up a little and have a “ranger” which I’ve never seen there, push the groups a bit on the course, to try to get caught up on the delay ? Had a 11:44 tee time and showed up at 11:20 to a packed (20 golf carts full of clubs) course - thought there was a tourney they put us in , but still with the 1 1/2 hour delay (would’ve tree off at 1:15 (no way to finish . We proceeded to ask if there were any openings for a twosome up ahead and the kid/starter said there was an opening but why would we be moved up when there’s groups in front if us - we said that you should not put a twosome out in the middle of this mess, - he then said why don’t I put somebody else up there then ? And we said has anyone else asked to be moved up - needless to say, we ended up leaving & more than likely won’t be back to this course any time in the near future

Very leafy !
Lots of leaves on the course, but I gotta say the greens are in fabulous shape (if they didn’t have so many leaves on them)
