About
White Oaks Country Club is carved from the mature pinelands of Newfield in south Jersey. Towering oak trees frame the golf course, separating each hole and giving each one a secluded feel. There are several challenges in store on this layout including massive strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, but it is also forgiving enough to accommodate beginners. The golf course does not have just one hole that it considers its signature but in fact, multiple holes. There is the par-5 seventh which stretches to a monstrous 621 yards and the par-4 ninth features a tricky second shot over water to a double green. These two challenging holes take advantage of the landscape's natural contours. The 17th is yet another signature hole, it has been voted the "toughest par 3 in South Jersey."

Why even use tee times????
SLOW pace of play. Would have loved to see a Ranger monitoring the play of group ahead of us. 6.5 hour round without stopping for lunch.

Pace of Play
This course always has a pace of play issue. There should not be a 20 minute wait time at tee boxes. I got through 4 holes in 2 hours this afternoon. That’s unbelievable. Waited for the group in front of me to get on the green on the par 5 before even tee’ing off. By the time I was done the par 5, there were still three groups on the par 3 box that hadn’t tee’d off yet. I left right after that. Either space our your tee times better or enforce pace of play.

White oaks 09.28.2020
Course conditions were well groomed very few burnt patches, the fairways were clean, the greens and tee boxes were in very good shape.
We “played through” 2x’s and waited several times at the tee boxes. Wasn’t horrible and didn’t take away from the day. Will definitely play again.

Much Improved
Third time playing this season. Conditions are much improved since our round in early August. Greens rolled true and the fairways were in much better shape. Pace of play was excellent, finishing in just under 4 hours. A few tee boxes were dicey, but it's late in the season so that not surprising. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the general manager for acknowledging our concerns after our poor experience in August.

Decent Course Conditions, Horrible Pace of Play
My buddy and I were looking for a place to play and White Oaks continued to come up in our search so we decided to make the hour drive to play. Staff were incredibly friendly and we got started right on time. Overall the course layout is solid, very much a pines course with a lot of tight tee shots - you NEED to be able to hit a draw here since that’s what most holes set up for. Tee boxes and fairways were in decent condition for the time of year but the greens were surprisingly good and fast which was nice. The reason I won’t be back to White Oaks is the pace of play. We waited at least 5-10 minutes on EVERY tee box. Round was a solid 5 1/2 to 6 hours. I get that it’s a nice day and people want to play, but we saw multiple rangers out on the course and they did nothing to speed up play. My biggest pet peeve is waiting 20+ minutes in between shots and we did it all day long which really takes away from the experience.

First time, would play again
First time playing this course. It is a nice track. Some bad areas but to be expected into fall. Greens were in good shape. A few greens had tough pin placements so definitely a bit challenging. Would play again.

Great conditions
I play this couse on many occassions during the season and the staff is always friendly & courteous. There's been a lot of rain recently but the condition of the couse is excellent shape.From the bag drop personnel to the pro shop staff I received excellent customer service. I hope to play there as long as the weather cooperates. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Slow
Awful pace of play. The front took 3 hours and we got paired with a twosome that said it’s always this slow. If you’re not 60+ don’t go here. Terrible price for what you get.

Trash
Trash - it made a putt putt look like Augusta - don’t know how to explain it better...tee times are booked on top of each other - no ranger - fairways were ripped up - greens untended - overall course in terrible shape...took 3 hours to play 9 - asked for a refund for the back 9 and got a “we don’t give refunds for slow play” won’t be returning for the money you can find better - would rather not golf than play here

Great customer service
From the time I dropped my bags off to inside the clubhouse I received excellent customer service. We have had a lot of rain recently but I have to say the course was in excellent shape. As soon as golfers finished up their rounds the young man working the cart area took the carts and did an intensive cleaning. I felt very safe and they used all precautions to keep guests safe. One of my favorite courses in South Jersey!
