Villa Del Ray Golf Club

This is a golf course worth to "discover". Enjoy a relax day outdoor, lots of birds, nice landscaping... Not a golf course for the Pros or the ones that think they are! A golf course to practice at a more than decent price.

I played this course yesterday. Decent layout but poorly kept greens and very slow play (>5 hours) did me in. I left after 12 holes.

Having played the course in the past, it has dropped a level. The greens need work, as do the t boxes. staff is great and refreshments are a good price.

My comments already made under review title and quick tips. Greater adherence to course maintenance would improve the playing experience; however, that increase the cost to play which is very reasonable.

Terribly kept and very slow. I probably never play here again.

Best bang for the buck, very enjoyable round, plays fast, we played 18 holes in less than 4 hours, no waiting at each hole. .Course is in good shape, although the greens could use a little work. I guess the only negative thing I can say , there are too many sand traps surrounding each green….

the course is in state of neglect.
Few grass around the bunkers.
Many weed on the greens

Course is in terrible shape, both fairways & greens. Very slow foursome ahead with 2 holes open in front of them, no response from ranger?

Les départs sont affreux, on se croirait dans un "fairway bunker"
tellement il y a peu de gazon.
Les trappes de sable sont peu ou pas entretenues.

The course it OK but the personnel it so so at too times have a problem wit a personel

Good value for the money but the pace!! After waiting at every hole, we skipped the second group in front of us who had 3 (!) empty holes - no ranger speeding up the play. Not the first time it happened.

The greens are in terrible shape. Fairways have many bare spots. Tee-off areas are poorly maintained. Sand traps are a mess. The owners of this course do not put the proper money back into the course in order to maintain it in reasonable shape. Anyone playing this golf course will be sadly disappointed.

Staff in clubhouse and around carts are excellent. Round was extremely slow and no help from rangers.

If you want to play a golf course that has good tee boxes, fairways or greens don't waste your money here. The staff was not very helpful as the man in the proshop would not get off his cell phone to answer a couple of simple questions I had. The starter was nowhere to be found and I was paired up by the bag boy and sent off only to have the starter come out to hole 1 to take our cart number. The tee boxes are in bad shape, as were the fairways. The greens were so bad I finally stopped putting the final 8 holes so as not to screw up my stroke. Couldn't wait to get off the course. What I thought was a good price for a February tee time really turned out to be a total waste of money!

last time i played here i was a single and they pushed my tee time back 40 min.to accommodate others and told me to leave if i objected. said they don't take tee times for singles even tho i booked tee time over the phone . i tried again with 2 friends - they let a group go off in front of us who had played the back 9 first. set us back and when that group made the turn again the ranger did nothing even though we were waiting every shot because the group was squeezed in. won't play there again. course not in great shape as well. bad service and no golf etiquette.
