Dunedin Golf Club was carved out of citrus groves and was the PGA National Golf Course until 1962. The golf course itself is delightful. From elevation changes to a river that bisects the course, you can just feel the aura of the great golfers who have played here. Bobby Jones, Gene Saraze, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Paul Runyan to name a few have participated in tournaments here. Dunedin Country Club is located in Dunedin, minutes from the beaches, many restaurants and several top hotel options. Dunedin Golf Club is a Donald Ross creation.

Fast greens

I have played this course a couple of times this year. Each time I have been paired up with total strangers. And each time I have enjoyed getting to know them. The conditions of the course are well maintained. I especially like the fast greens which have challenging pin placements.

I must say that the tee times are too close together. There were times on 1/18/23 that there were 4 groups on the same hole. That would be my only negative comment about the round.

Open course, but typical Ross course with elevated greens. Don’t be above the hole. Greens were speedy with some tilt! Will be back!

Lightning fast greens

Speed of greens was beyond fast. Can't believe members would prefer them on a daily basis. For a typical green fee guest, we want a tough and challenging test but this round of putting was not enjoyable. Otherwise, nice layout and fairways were very good condition.
