About
Dunedin Golf Club was carved out of citrus groves and was the PGA National Golf Course until 1962. The golf course itself is delightful. From elevation changes to a river that bisects the course, you can just feel the aura of the great golfers who have played here. Bobby Jones, Gene Saraze, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Paul Runyan to name a few have participated in tournaments here. Dunedin Country Club is located in Dunedin, minutes from the beaches, many restaurants and several top hotel options. Dunedin Golf Club is a Donald Ross creation.

Cart path only made for slow pace of play
I really like the Donald Ross layout and the course was in reasonable condition. It had rained the day before and the two or three wet areas were wet as usual. For some reason the rest of the course was cart path only, making it a long round on a windy and somewhat chilly day.
Fun to Play
It is that time of year when the grass is not growing, but this course is just as good conditioned as most others we play including St Petersburg Country Club and Seminole Lakes. It is a fun layout and can challenge at any level. I am a senior golfer 4 handicap and played the white tees. It was breezy and cool, with no roll the day after rain so it was a very good challenge. The greens were a little inconsistent from the rain and the back 9 had been top-dressed, but they did an excellent job of this. The bunkers have excellent sand. The tee blocks for the forward tees (which my wife played) were not very well maintained, basically sitting on fairways. The staff were welcoming and that was a pleasant thing for us to experience. We will be back to play. They managed covid well.
Exceptional
My preferred course in the Tampa area. Classic Donald Ross design. Very playable, yet challenging. The course looks relatively benign, but your sand game and chipping and putting must be sharp..
Over Priced
The course was just ok. Fairways were not good. Not much grass. For $73 I expected a course in better shape.
Too much $$$
Fairways aerated , many grounds under repair. Charging to much for course to be under those conditions.
Just average
Course was just ok, expected more from a Florida course in high season. Pretty fair layout, but lot of dried out fairways and hard pan. No lunch service??
Rental clubs were horrible, grip on driver had bare strings hanging off.
Course Needs Tecovery Rest
Nice course with very friendly staff, and very reasonable pricing. The course itself needs a rest period for some recovery. Very wet the day we played and a couple of the holes shouldn't have been open for play due to extreme wetness. Will play this course again with hope that the course, particularly the greens will be in better condition.
Duniden Golf
Despite the cold weather the course was in great shape staff friendly equipment (golf carts) was in great shape equipped with GPS. Overall a great experience.
Great course
We had a fantastic round of golf there. The staff working there was awesome. Great course layout. We were never rushed we started on 10 and there was no wait at all at 1 when we came around at the turn. Will definitely go back there
