Dunedin Golf Club

Excellent old Donald Ross design. Always in good condition. Greens pretty fast. Practice range uses Pro V balls - awesome. By far the best golf carts of any course I have ever played, complete with on board GPS.

Second time here, very nice course. Tough start ing holes if any wind in the face .

I will definitely play here again .

Afternoon t-time was fun and stopped at the turn for dinner as the course got a bit busy. Would like to have 9 hole rate.

First 4 holes in great shape. Starter says he puts them out every 8 minutes and by the 6th hole you’re backed up.

Played on a Monday.. I don’t live in Florida so I was shocked that in December the clubhouse was closed and they only had tuna (was good too) but that was it.

Back nine poor shape.. cal before you play.

Course went downhill fast. Poor conditions and bare spots on greens

Out of town, met a group playing at another course, highly recommended Dunedin.. I never go off anyones golf experience unless I’ve read reviews or someone (friend) I played with recommends.

Shame on me he was neither although very nice.

Now, I’ll make this short and to the point.

Arrived 5 min before tee time, mistake on me (hotel brought car late) still on me. Called 30 min prior to let person in clubhouse know, even paid for it while driving to save time. The person on the other end tells me we are booked solid until 3:30 mind you my tee time was 8:02.

Arrived at 7:59 after driving to a place I’d never been, totally on me.

We were to okay with another twosome - get to the tee box, starter says I HAD TO SEND THE TWOSOME they were waiting - huh?

No problem, I say are we up next, he says yeah, there’s a foursome behind you and a foursome ahead of . Great.. twosome between the foursomes. Bad move! Starter says I’m not going to debate with you after I said is there a way to allow us ahead, he says NO. I knew it was only a matter of time good think I love playing with my wife.

Say no more..

Get to the turn it’s 10:00 and no one is there, no food, lady says we traditionally aren’t serving on Mondays… didn’t get this memo for out of towners. 13th hole is close to clubhouse. FINALLY a person there. Tuna sandwich. GREAT..

Back nine - should’ve left

Layout is cool but the back 9 fairways, soggy - dried out, tee boxes need attention.

5 hour round on a Monday, you’d expect this on any weekend but Monday.

First of all I need to call out the haters. ken2084441 you don't deserve a capital k. Not even gonna capitalize that k. Come on man... thus course is a Donald Ross masterpiece and nothing less. Greens need some love in some areas but who doesn't need love. Will be back here as soon as I am able. Great look back into the past to what golf used to be in the Golden Age.

if you are any bit of a golf architecture enthusiast go play this course. don’t listen to @ken2084441 or @parry4296… uncultured swines .. course was in purina.. layout was everything you could ask for .. DONALD ROSS LIVES ON!!!

Course went downhill rapidly in the past few weeks. Lots of bare areas and poor green conditions

They have been doing a lot of work uplifting this course and it’s coming together nicely

This place rapidly deteriorated in a short spay of time. Needs a lot of maintenance

Unfortunately the course is the very poor condition. Sod work on the greens was really bad. Tees were uneven and needed to be mowed.
