About
Dunedin Golf Club was carved out of citrus groves and was the PGA National Golf Course until 1962. The golf course itself is delightful. From elevation changes to a river that bisects the course, you can just feel the aura of the great golfers who have played here. Bobby Jones, Gene Saraze, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Paul Runyan to name a few have participated in tournaments here. Dunedin Country Club is located in Dunedin, minutes from the beaches, many restaurants and several top hotel options. Dunedin Golf Club is a Donald Ross creation.

Nice course but slow
I liked the course. The greens were very good, tee boxes and fairways were fine. A little sparse around some of the greens. My only problem was that over 4 1/2 hours is way too long for a round of golf. If you are taking that long without waiting for anyone in front of you, then you should leave the course and never play again.
Donald Ross at his best
Always a challenge, always fair from the correct tees. Less than optimum areas marked GUR. Greens rolling well. Pro Shop and 19th hole personnel welcoming Love this place!
Nice place, pace of play bad
Booked a later tee time on golf now and got stuck in a group of very slow players who were only playing nine holes. We had zero chance of finishing 18 in the light so we quit after nine. The Starter was a grouch, pace of play was terrible and the course was soaked despite not having had rain that day. Carts not allowed on many holes. Seems like it needs some drainage work. Cool course though... old school layout.
A little pricey for the condition of the course - super rude starter
Course layout is nice, although some greens were in poor condition - however the biggest gripe I have was the starter. I showed up three minutes ahead of my tee time, ready to go and the first thing the guy says to me is "where have you been"? No "Hi' or "Good morning" or "welcome". Since I was teamed with a threesome he then told me to "put your clubs on that cart" What?? I am suppose to ride with someone in the middle of a pandemic? The guy was a jerk.
Lots of fun !! Was impressed with most of the fairways. Ball sat up nicely. Loved the layout. Will definitely play again !
Dunedin Golf
Pulled in, end of lot, cart person brought cart right to our vehicle, how nice. Course played noice on front, back nine very wet with shortened holes, still had fun! Will come back!
After a heavy rain course was still pretty good.
With the exception of the 15th hole ( shorten to a par 3), the course was in good shape. While a bit muddy in places, it played well. Shall return, but pretty busy this time of year.
Beautiful Donald Ross Design
Wonderful old fashioned course. Typical Donald Ross design. Challenging yet fair. Course was in great condition given the time of year.
Beware of rude players
We were a foursome and kept up with the slowish group in front of us. The two men behind us repeatedly hit into us nearly hitting the elderly woman who was riding in one of our carts. A ranger on the course would have been helpful
afternoon of golf
The course in in pretty good condition, a few greens need attention. I got a tee time through Golf Now which was a good deal, The course is overpriced if you get your tee time through the course.
