Needs some TLC...
Friendly and accommodating staff as my wife and I played there with no notice. The cashier was very helpful with getting us on our way and was polite and helpful, as was the starter. Now for the bad news....
The course needs some TLC. About half of the greens had significant burn spots with a few that were downright terrible. You could lose a ball in the first cut of rough it was so high, the bunkers were unkept and hard as frozen ground, and tee boxes were in bad shape as well. The layout of the course is nice, so if a little more attention was paid to it, it would be a fun place to regularly play. At $33.00 to play, the value of the course is not worth it.
this cause have a great layout very challenging
Definitely recommend you play it you will love The course great location
First timer blues
Course was a little long for average older player. Forward tees were a little short and middle tees a little long. It was moderately hilly and the greens were sloped so it made putting haphazard. Greens needed a little TLC..
Citrus Springs Golf Course
Good course with some challenging holes. No water shots to worry about though. Paid $20 for 18 holes and cart rental, great price for a good old course.
Poor Condition
Greans were burnt out. Ruff was so high you would loose your ball just off the fairway.
Fun Course
Fun golf course. The greens ran great and the fairways were in good shape. They seem to be trying to fix a few bunkers. The course gives you a chance to move the ball left and right off the tee which I enjoyed. Nice staff, fun day. I just wish more of the holes were like No. 1.
a fun course--- with a lot of character
enjoyed the fast greens---very scenic--and many choices to play cuts or hooks--- very senior friendly
This course is overlooked
Greens and fairways are in great shape. Most
challenging course in Citrus County. You won't
be disappointed, great price too.
Excellent except
Roughs were too long, wasted time looking for ball just off fairway. Overall enjoyed playing this course, would play in the future as often as possible.
Awesome course
This was a great course! Hills and trees not something we see a lot in west palm beach. Greens and fairways were in great condition and the rough was rough. There were a few bad spots but not too many. Great value and a wonderful outing.
An old golf course hidden--should play.
Really up and down the hills lined with old oak trees---fun to play----greens very good, fairways fine in the center and thin towards the rough. Traps need raking. Great value! Very cold beer!
this course is very hilly
Greens were in great shape. The bunkers were in terrible shape, not raked and the sand was very hard. Some bare spots in the fairways. Back nine is more wide open than the front. Great layout.
Excellent
Fairways and greens have character and are well maintained. The course is scenic and well-layed out. We had a great time and will definitely return.
Well maintained course
Played after storms previous days however was no standing water fairways well manicured , rough grass @ reasonable length, fast greens. First time @ this course definitely going back
Lots of fun
This course is in great shape and a blast to play. The club house is older, but so is the course. Mature trees, nice fairways and greens that role well but also have contours so you really have to watch yourself. Some great elevation changes make you hit a longer club up onto some greens and then make you feel like Bubba when you hit it down hill on a fairway and it rolls and rolls. Bring your left to right and right to left game, lots of dog legs. If the opportunity arises to play this course, go tee it up, you won't regret it.
great course
As usual, we had a great time playing your golf course. A good challange for any age at any one of the tee boxes. From the blue to the red. Looking forward to playing there again soon
Greens are Excellent
Greens are in excellent condition making this one of the better courses in the area.
Great day on the course
The course has wide open fairways with many elevation changes.Large greens with many subtle breaks.
more doglegs than the city pound
This was an interesting course layout with many twists and turns. The trees were numerous but fairly clear under them. The holes were not real difficult if you could keep the ball on the fairway. Knowing what to expect around each corner would help, but this was our first time at Citrus Springs. It was fun and we will definitely be back. Some of the tee boxes were humped which did not help.
great golf course
fairways a little rough, but growing in
great greens
