Older course and in great shape
Like the layout.Has a lot of different type holes.Enjoy playing it.
Challenging
Would have liked to have played it back in the 70's when it was in top shape. Fairways were not overseeded which left some undesirable lies. Some of the greens had some form of fungus and required relief. Would have been very disappointed had I paid full walk-in price.
Slow going on the back
This is an older course. It does need some attention, but the layout is good. Front nine went smoothly, but the back nine meant waiting on every hole. I would play it again , but they need to do something about the pace of play.
poor greens
curses in bad shape. greens have a lot of bare spots. not much grass on fairways/ most holes big dog legs
good value
COURSE IN GOOD SHAPE FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. LOT OF ELEVATION CHANGES AND A WELL PLANNED LAYOUT.
lots of potential
Its sad to see a course that was probably at one time a great place to play. Everything was run down including the condition of the golf course. I think the general theme for golf courses in the area is that they are struggling to stay in business.
Good Experience
Several of the greens are struggling. It was January so the course was not particularly green. Average conditions.
rough shape, needs TLC on greens, fairways and facilities
First and last time we play here; it was cheap to play.
disappointed
The course is in need of maintainence. It appears nothing is being done except cutting the grass where it is growing. Back nine was in better shape than front. Won't go back anytime soon.
Friendly Place
The staff here is great. The starter hooked me up with the other golfers and we had a wonderful round of golf. I was a single but the others included me with no problems. The course was in good shape and the play moved right along. A great day on the course!
very nice court
very satisfied to use your site!! we will play it again
needs some tlc
a nice course that i have played in the past but it seems they have cut back on costs and the course looks it.many greens have bad areas and are on the slow side also it seems there is no mechanic because you can tell greens mower is not cutting properly.fairways are thin on grass.a shame because this is a nice hilly picturesque course, with houses set back and out of bounds hardly comes into play
poor conditions
a lot of damage on greens fair ways fair not worth playing
Great Time
I had a great time playing here for the first time and will be back. I had no trouble finding my ball but do wish I had played the gold tees with my 190 yard drives I barely reached the fairways form the white tees. I did not visit the 19th hole.
Just OK
The grass on the course was burnt and dead. Was told the owner never planted the winter Rye grass.
9 hole instead of 18 because of guest
Got off early and that helped the situation. Staff was very friendly. Will play it again
Needs some TLC...
Friendly and accommodating staff as my wife and I played there with no notice. The cashier was very helpful with getting us on our way and was polite and helpful, as was the starter. Now for the bad news....
The course needs some TLC. About half of the greens had significant burn spots with a few that were downright terrible. You could lose a ball in the first cut of rough it was so high, the bunkers were unkept and hard as frozen ground, and tee boxes were in bad shape as well. The layout of the course is nice, so if a little more attention was paid to it, it would be a fun place to regularly play. At $33.00 to play, the value of the course is not worth it.
this cause have a great layout very challenging
Definitely recommend you play it you will love The course great location
First timer blues
Course was a little long for average older player. Forward tees were a little short and middle tees a little long. It was moderately hilly and the greens were sloped so it made putting haphazard. Greens needed a little TLC..
Citrus Springs Golf Course
Good course with some challenging holes. No water shots to worry about though. Paid $20 for 18 holes and cart rental, great price for a good old course.
