Hard to judge
The weather was terrible so hard to give a fair review that reflects the club. Winter tees were in use. The ground was extremely soft in places with it very wet in others. It was evident that the fairways had not been cut for awhile. Greens has started to have standing water. We gave up after 14 holes due to weather conditions. Rating would be much higher had weather and course conditions be better but that’s nature.
Wonderful day out
Friendly club most welcoming on arrival and although rain night before course not too bad.
Good Quality well thought out course
Haverfordwest is a good quality well thought out course . Unfortunately I followed a Seniors Comp so was a little slow but still only 3.5 hours . I will be back to play again but not on a Thursday
Great day
We played a two ball _ myself and my wife. First time here and we thoroughly enjoyed this testing course, 17th and 18th could spoil your round.
Hard day out in the rain
Tough day out in the windy rain. Tough first hole to get going. Greens and fairways played well but Bunkers suffered from lack of preparation due to COVID times.
Staff very friendly
Nice well kept course
Had a very enjoyable experience playing at Haverfordwest Golf Club, all staff and members we met were very friendly and welcoming. Found the course in excellent condition and very enjoyable to play, some very nice interesting holes and definitely recommend spending some time here if in the area.
Course has great driving holes
Coarse was challenging with some great signature holes and was in fantastic condition will certainly play here again
A very warm welcome
My wife and I were on holiday staying nearby. We got a very good deal from Tee times and went to play. We received a very warm welcome from all at the club.
The weather was very good and the course was very interesting we are 8 and 16 hc. It is hilly in places and a bit of a walk between green and some tees so electric trolley or buggy would be a good idea.
Would recemend
To wet to buggy
The weather had been awful it rained all day the day before we played and we were lucky the course was open. Unfortunately because it was so boggy in parts no buggies were allowed on the course which made it a struggle for me and my brother as we're both in our seventies. However we played 14 holes and really enjoyed ourselves. We will go again when the course is dry and the buggies are available.
Good parkland course
We enjoyed our game at Haverfordwest. Course in good condition held up well in wet and windy conditions. Staff and food excellent. Chef was just leaving as we entered the clubhouse but stayed to make a delicious panini.
Excellent all round
Beautiful course in superb condition. Very helpful staff and friendly members.
Very nice way to spend an afternoon
Very enjoyable course, more than happy with everything, will be recommending to friends.
great course
great course with a good lay out.some very picturesque holes.the greens were in very good condition when i played and were fast.overall very good course well worth the money.the clubhouse was very friendly and had a good food.i will definitely play again when i'm in the area.
terrific parkland
Haverfordwest golf course is a parkland setup, fairways criss cross each other like a crossword puzzle.
the back nine is a lot harder, and a lot longer than the front nine, both are equally undulating, with uphill,
downhill and side hill holes club selection is vital.the greens are quite small but if you do find them you
should never have more than a two putt.
the par 4 5th was my favourite hole, you walk down the hill 100 yards then hit over the 4th with out of bounds
all down the left to a green off a steep down slope with a very stratigicly placed tree right in the way.
Practice facilities are limited, putting green,a (too small to be useful) chipping green. two nets and a small
downhill range where you need to use your own balls and can't hit any longer than 150 yards.
the 19th hole restaurant has recently been opened to the public and it is worth a visit i had a very nice full
english breakfast and lunch was a cheeseburger served in a brioche bun and the burger was one of the best i have
ever had, all meat is locally sourced and delicious!
the person in the pro shop was not the usual pro as he was off giving lessons, but i found him helpful and
knowledgeable, we had a nice conversation about where i had played and the other courses in the area. the membership
is on the olderside, so play can be slow, but they were very welcoming and i joined a group 1/2 way round they were
nothing but nice. if your in the area this is a must play!
