Top golf course.

Highly recommend this to anyone. The views were exceptional, and the course is just as pretty. Lots of blind shots to be careful with, but as long as you trust the markers you'll be fine. Fairways were a little dead, but that's to be expected on a links course in the summer, the greens were lovely and ran true.

First time, what a lovely course.

It would be worth getting a course guide as there are quite a few blind shots. Lovely view of the sea from quite a few holes.

Walked

golf by the sea

I played Tenby for the first time. Access from the road is not impressive but the car park had room conveniently close to the modern clubhouse. There were no obvious signs to the pro shop but once there I found Rhys he was very efficient and friendly. Extracting a push trolley from the bay was tricky. You needed to be aware of players in front as the first few holes have significant blind shots and the numerous bells are either not rung or are out of hearing. I managed to lose 2 balls in the first 3 holes, mainly due to not knowing the lay out and also as the light on the pale grass made finding a loose shot in the rough difficult. As I settled into the course I played better and was more aware of the need to keep to the fairways. I followed a group of 3 members and they invited me to play 17/18 which was a friendly gesture and much appreciated. I enjoyed a local beer and sandwich in the smart lounge.

Excellent condition

This was my first time playing Tenby and the course was in excellent condition (22nd February). Fantastic views along the south beach, from the 9th to the 14th in particular. Some testing holes, not long, but tight and blind tee shots are punished if slightly wayward. A great challenge in the wind. Really enjoyed the experience

Great course

I managed to get a tee time for £20 and I don’t think you’ll play a course anywhere near as good for that price, it really was incredible value I’d be happy paying triple the price I paid. The course was in great condition and the layout is brilliant if you’re looking for negatives the 15th, 16th and 17th feel a bit less linksy and the rest of the course but I still enjoyed them. Me and playing partner enjoyed a pre round pint and roll which was delicious in the new beautiful clubhouse. All in all I couldn’t fault it and if you’re lucky enough to see one of the £20 tee times snap it up before someone else does as you won’t be disappointed.

Perfect Conditions

First time playing the home of golf, front of how’s very welcoming and well presented

The course was in good condition however very poorly signed layout quite confusing a lot of guess work not what you would have expected.

Fortunately the weather was perfect and caught a group ahead so you had an idea where you should be.

The on line hole layout helped but you couldn’t relate actually on the hole. We ordered a buggy which was restricted to under walking pace which was very frustrating and held the game up.

17 of the holes were glorious however the 18th was not marked at all and very underwhelming for a ‘Championship finish.

It was baking hot and plan was to shower and eat before travel back to Essex however the changing facilities were filthy very old and not the same fit out as the front of house modern finish. No towels provided so we just packed up and left.

A few minor changes and attention to detail back of house and this would be a special place to visit

Great course, true golf.

Fantastic course, in great condition, a bit of GUR around 14,15,16 didn't spoil a great visit.

Know your distances as there are plenty of blind shots off the tees and on approach.

It was that good I'm back tonight.

Amazing course

I would highly recommend tenby golf course. The conditions were amazing and dont get me started on the views! It's up there for me as one of the best courses I've ever played. A real challenge for all skill levels. At at only £20 per head on golf now, it was an absolute steal

Tenby

Played Tenby on a hot deal, the weather was not great ladies day had just been cancelled, we had 11.10 tee time it was raining and were the only two on the course, it was amazing it actually gave you time to enjoy and take it all in, yes there was casual water a plenty, but then what course hasn’t at the moment ! However it could not detract from what is a truly magnificent golf course, just pay the money and treat yourself to a great day out.
