Good , Greens too fast. Must have better pin placements! Too many downhill puts. ALMOST impossible.

More than half the fairways were scratch-line aerated, making play a bit difficult. So the normally excellent conditions were not so great. Also found that some traps had a lot of pebbles. Finally, greens were sprinkled with a light sand layer, affecting putts at times, though the greens seemed to roll very well. We understand this is all necessary to keep the course in good shape, but it was just a bit disappointing not knowing this in advance. Will definitely be back.

Pace of play was horrendous, played 3 holes in less than 25 mins and the next 4 holes in 1 hr and 15 mins. 2 groups on each tee and no ranger or starter around. We had to play the front 9 twice to finish before dark. Excellent golf course and clubhouse but the course itself needs to be managed for people to want to come back. If you want to charge a premium because the course is excellent then you have to manage the people who do not know how to play golf. Terrible experience.

Course was in fine condition considering they aerated not long ago. Great layout: holes are challenging and interesting. Great clubhouse and practice facility. Played in 3.5 hours with a noon tee time- probably not the usual time but we’ll take it! Highly recommend but not for beginners as it is challenging with lots of hazards.

This is one of our favorite courses on Long Island, except for the cost, Not sure why but we played this course earlier in the year and it was less expensive ($72), why would the prices go up at the end of the season($83)? This is the only reason we do not play this course more often, and it is not on our regular rotation.

This course is the best it gets for value and enjoyment. The course is difficult given the sand and water hazards but gives your chances to succeed if you can hit decent drives and conservative second shots. Great course. I will be back for sure.

As usual, my own play was the only thing that detracted from my experience. They could have kept the cart person out and the halfway house opened a little later.

Course is usually it tip top shape but because of the aeration the greens were horrible ruining a nice round of golf they should charge half price for a month after the aerate to be nice to the golfers

This course is decent, way overpriced for weekend and standard rates. The bunkers were all rocks, greens were pretty beat up. Tee boxes were not that good either. Pace of play was 4 1/2 hours.

Other then standing water on the course, the very worst trap conditions I’ve ever played in over 50 years, and some slow play on our second nine, I liked the course an awful lot! If those three above items we not experienced I’d rate this course a top facility. The traps are obviously under repair however there were so many rocks in each trap that it was COMPLETELY unacceptable. One of our foresome actually damaged their new SW which was a bummer. I’d go back but ask the shop some questions first.

I’ve been to this course many times, and I always leave with the same opinion. It has such potential to be a beautiful course if the grounds crew can keep the course in better condition (the course is extra soft in many places throughout because of how wet it is). Also, to ride 9 holes for $45 is HORRENDOUS for twilight hours. Overall, this course is on my list because of its closeness to my home, but it wouldn’t be my first or second choice.
