Awesome layout, great conditions, always a challenge. Love this course, even when it’s 101°.

Some greens needed a little work , they were bumpy . Overall a beautiful course and layout.

Course excellent shape. Fairways and traps and rough. Top semi private course on longisland. Only knock no white sand in traps.

This has long been my favorite course to play on Long Island. I thoroughly enjoy the layout which is typically in great condition and has a nice blend of risk/reward opportunities. I’ve always found it to be worth it’s relatively high cost. Unfortunately, as amplified during this last visit, I’m concerned with things beginning to slip. A few examples: The staff in the bag drop area are sometimes absent and when present seem to be in a bit of disarray. Clubs are no longer cleaned after the round (or at least that’s been my experience the last few rounds). Both carts in our foursome needed to be replaced during the round—one had its steering mechanism lock up and the other lost its charge. Lastly, a 7-some (!) decided to form in front of us after a few holes. We called and a ranger did come to break them up, but they reformed a few holes later.

PLEASE work harder to keep this course a special place to play.

First off this course is absolutely amazing. Great conditions. It doesn’t get much better for a course. On the 11th hole the ranger came up to my group asking us to pick up the pace. We obviously said we would try and pick up the pace. That should of been the end up it. However he then said how about you go play from the white tees should be quicker. That’s where he went wrong so absolutely unprofessional. I shot an 80 on the day. I don’t need to be told where to play from especially after spending $100. Totally ruined my round. Then he made sure to spy on us and make us feel comfortable. Maybe he was in a bad mood but if this happens again I won’t be going back. Added at least 3 stokes to my game I was so mad.

Ps the group behind us not once ever had to wait for us to clear before teeing off. We finished the hole as they were coming on.

Terrific Course. A must play if you live on or visit Long Island NY.

Great course but no starter so we started 10 minutes late. Then no ranger so group in front was taking their time. Very well kept. I’m still waiting to catch the cafe open after front 9.

My wife and I try to play here once a week. The course is beautiful and in great shape. We also love the restaurant and usually have dinner after the round. Big complaint is pace of play. We usually tee off around 10 or 11 and have had several rounds of 5 or 5-1/2 hours. I've seen rangers driving around but I'm not sure they have much impact.

Excellent golf course with a resort/Florida feel. Always a pleasure to play. We played a little later than normal for our group. On the third hole , we saw a ranger, and it was apparent that we were backed up from the group in front of us. We were a foursome, following two threesomes. by time we reached the back nine it was a minimum of two holes open in front of the first threesome even though the round was 4 1/2 hours which is not bad it felt much longer because we had to wait on every shot on the back nine. I do not think the Ranger recognized where the problem was as the gap was at least two groups in front of us and it should’ve been a minimum of a half hour shorter round. The course was backed up behind us because of this.

Nice beautiful golf course on Long Island, overall okay.

My friend and I were approached by a young man who instantly claimed he was a part of the willow staff, and in a hostile manner, falsely accused us of jumping ahead of groups. He then proceeded to cut in front of 3 groups. Never coming back

One of the best courses I’ve ever played. Tee boxes, fairways, greens all in great shape.

Terrible pace of play, I dont care how good the course is. For $90 during the week I should not be 3 hours 45 mins of pace thru 12 holes.... We left after that because it was so terribly bad. Dont play this course, save yourself the money and headache. Conditions and greens are solid but the pace of play was an absolute joke. The reviews here are buffed up from old guys that make the pace of play the way it is. If anyone at willow creek sees this I want my money back or to be reimbursed because this was truly the worst pace of play our group has ever seen.
