About
Willow Creek Golf & Country Club in Mount Sinai sits on Suffolk's scenic north shore. Opened in 2005, it is one of Long Island's newest golf courses but it has already established a reputation for being one of the area's most visually impressive. What makes the course stand out is the abundance of both sand and water. The number of bunkers on the golf course comes close to the triple digits and water appears on 12 holes. The lightning fast, wildly undulating greens are a challenging complement to the hazards. The layout presents a formidable test for even the best players. One of Hamlet Willow Creek's most difficult holes is the monstrous ninth, which features water on both sides of the seemingly endless fairway. With so much water, golfers almost forget about the three large bunkers that are also treacherously lurking on this hole.

Great Course but pricey
This is one of our favorite courses on Long Island, except for the cost, Not sure why but we played this course earlier in the year and it was less expensive ($72), why would the prices go up at the end of the season($83)? This is the only reason we do not play this course more often, and it is not on our regular rotation.

Great course
This course is the best it gets for value and enjoyment. The course is difficult given the sand and water hazards but gives your chances to succeed if you can hit decent drives and conservative second shots. Great course. I will be back for sure.

A beautiful track.
As usual, my own play was the only thing that detracted from my experience. They could have kept the cart person out and the halfway house opened a little later.

Golfday
Course is usually it tip top shape but because of the aeration the greens were horrible ruining a nice round of golf they should charge half price for a month after the aerate to be nice to the golfers

Overrated
This course is decent, way overpriced for weekend and standard rates. The bunkers were all rocks, greens were pretty beat up. Tee boxes were not that good either. Pace of play was 4 1/2 hours.

Nice track
Other then standing water on the course, the very worst trap conditions I’ve ever played in over 50 years, and some slow play on our second nine, I liked the course an awful lot! If those three above items we not experienced I’d rate this course a top facility. The traps are obviously under repair however there were so many rocks in each trap that it was COMPLETELY unacceptable. One of our foresome actually damaged their new SW which was a bummer. I’d go back but ask the shop some questions first.

Review
I’ve been to this course many times, and I always leave with the same opinion. It has such potential to be a beautiful course if the grounds crew can keep the course in better condition (the course is extra soft in many places throughout because of how wet it is). Also, to ride 9 holes for $45 is HORRENDOUS for twilight hours. Overall, this course is on my list because of its closeness to my home, but it wouldn’t be my first or second choice.

I love this course Usually in good/ great shape Tons of amenities Driving range 3 practice green and a small sand trap to practice in or out of lol

Ranger strikes again!
Although the course layout and conditions are enough to make one drive an hour, the Ranger and overall staff friendliness are enough not to give the course a third try. The Ranger can double as a shadow as he makes his present felt. He perched behind us, always as though our group deserved his undivided attention. My buddy and I gave the course a second chance, but the fact that we had a similar experience was enough of a clear message. The course management should either work on their staff or fix their financial situation to then become fully private and not be forced to sell tee times to outsiders.
