About
Willow Creek Golf & Country Club in Mount Sinai sits on Suffolk's scenic north shore. Opened in 2005, it is one of Long Island's newest golf courses but it has already established a reputation for being one of the area's most visually impressive. What makes the course stand out is the abundance of both sand and water. The number of bunkers on the golf course comes close to the triple digits and water appears on 12 holes. The lightning fast, wildly undulating greens are a challenging complement to the hazards. The layout presents a formidable test for even the best players. One of Hamlet Willow Creek's most difficult holes is the monstrous ninth, which features water on both sides of the seemingly endless fairway. With so much water, golfers almost forget about the three large bunkers that are also treacherously lurking on this hole.

Beautiful Fall Day
Greens in good shape rolling and true speed. Fairways beat up little due too the course getting alot of play. Traps little tuff sand. Tee boxes great shape.

A Gem
The groundskeeper for this course does a remarkable job. It was manicured to perfection. I felt compelled to go around the green fixing the ball marks of the inconsiderate golfers who played before me. I booked it on golfnow as a hot deal and it was a perfect November day. I was paired with a player who new the course and this was integral to playing the course properly. Some shots you have no idea there is water, so buy the book of the course before you play it for the first time. The regular price is high but it is worth it. There are two practice greens. Theres one right before the first tee-off, the other one by the driving range was flooded from the sprinklers. The young man in the pro shop not too friendly but the starter more than made up for it with his friendliness. He seemed excited to see someone experiance this beautiful course for the first time.

Willow Creek Golf
Sunny & 75 on November 10! Perfect golf Day. Had a little breeze in the face on many holes- made driving challenging from the blue tees. Played the course for the first time last summer and loved it. Played like crap so this round was my redemption and I didn't disappoint. Solid 82. The course is in great shape. The greens are very fast- fastest I played all year. I would recommend this course to anyone who has not played it yet. Worth the trek to Mt. Sinai.

Millennials are slow
When I’m not at Bethpage I like to consider this my home course. No starter on the first hole this morning. Whatever Lol. I don’t run the place. Tossed me a free cart on the 3rd hole when I paid for a walking rate. Can’t complain. Had two guys in front of me who were taking their sweet time as if they owned the course. Slow golfers. Millennials. Hate them. I’m a Millennial but I was taught the game by my dad not through YouTube and bc of Covid. Etiquette with younger golfers is lacking. Didn’t put pressure on them bc I didn’t see a ranger once during the round so clearly nobody cared about pace of play today. Decided after the 9th hole for the rest of the round I was going to let them finish the hole before I even tee off. Ironically, the GM drove by and asked me what I was doing and where the rest of my golf group was. I told her the story and how I was solo and she understood. Very nice lady. The fairway conditions have seen better days but I’ll assume it was from the increase of play this summer with Covid. Still atleast a 4/5 and had a great day.

Resort on LI
Beautiful place that makes you feel tropical. Think Florida. Beautiful homes around the course but only a few are close enough to encroach on play. Homes are raised on hillsides and often have ponds between the course and property lines. While not heavily wooded the layout has plenty of room between the very few adjoining fairways. This gives the course a feel of isolation while you play the holes. Love the place.
