About
Willow Creek Golf & Country Club in Mount Sinai sits on Suffolk's scenic north shore. Opened in 2005, it is one of Long Island's newest golf courses but it has already established a reputation for being one of the area's most visually impressive. What makes the course stand out is the abundance of both sand and water. The number of bunkers on the golf course comes close to the triple digits and water appears on 12 holes. The lightning fast, wildly undulating greens are a challenging complement to the hazards. The layout presents a formidable test for even the best players. One of Hamlet Willow Creek's most difficult holes is the monstrous ninth, which features water on both sides of the seemingly endless fairway. With so much water, golfers almost forget about the three large bunkers that are also treacherously lurking on this hole.

EXPENSIVE
BOOKED THROUGH GOLF NOW AND WAS 60$ PER PERSON WHICH WAS FINE BUT THEN 26.50 PER PLAYER FOR THE CART. SO FOR 86.50$ THERR ATE BETTER PLACES TO PLAY

Love playing here
The last few times I've played here the pace of play has been extremely slow. Five plus hour rounds! Also, not sure why the grill is shutting down at 5:30 PM. You have a 1:00 PM tee time,and you can't get something to eat and drink because they shut the restaurant early!

GREAT COURSE BUT,
GREAT COURSE BUT THE TRAPS ARE LOADED WITH ROCKS. THE COURSE IS VERY NICE, BUT HOW CAN THEY NOT HAVE REAL SAND IN THE TRAPS? FOR THE GREEN FEE AND CART PRICE THEY CHARGE ONE FOURSOME WOULD PAY FOR SAND FOR THE WHOLE GOLF COURSE. YOU CAN ADD ANOTHER STAR IF YOU DON'T MIND GETTING YOUR SAND WEDGE DINGED UP.

Excellent place to play
Usually the pace is good. This day was a 5 hour day! Also, they close the grill at 5:30 PM. That's twice this year that we couldn't eat there. We like the food, but when you have 5 hour rounds, you can't get to the grill in time because they stop cooking so early.

Great day at Willow Creek.
- Staff is super friendly.
- The course was in great impeccable shape.
- The fairways were nice and soft.
- The layout gets more challenging in the back 9.
- Pace of play was above decent with 4.5 hours to complete a round.
- The only downside were the greens were quite bumpy, but that could have alot been since we played in the afternoon.
- Not sure why others this year were hemming and hawing. But excellent round of golf overall.
