About
Willow Creek Golf & Country Club in Mount Sinai sits on Suffolk's scenic north shore. Opened in 2005, it is one of Long Island's newest golf courses but it has already established a reputation for being one of the area's most visually impressive. What makes the course stand out is the abundance of both sand and water. The number of bunkers on the golf course comes close to the triple digits and water appears on 12 holes. The lightning fast, wildly undulating greens are a challenging complement to the hazards. The layout presents a formidable test for even the best players. One of Hamlet Willow Creek's most difficult holes is the monstrous ninth, which features water on both sides of the seemingly endless fairway. With so much water, golfers almost forget about the three large bunkers that are also treacherously lurking on this hole.

Not worth the money
First the course does not have enough carts because there the times are every 10 min. Them not spreading out the times causes slow play and awful backups. Course is not worth the money for the conditions. I get that the fairways and greens need to be aerated greens but they should not be charging a prime time cost for the beginning of the season at $120 + when you can not even roll the ball on the greens. The course could and would be worth it when it’s in prime shape but not at this time. Highway robbery now for $120 for bumpy greens. Can play bethpage for a 1/3 or the price with much better greens.
A good day on the links
Played to test out the start of a new golf season. The wind picked up through the day making it tougher. It was a good day. The course condition was as bad as I've ever seen. I hope it will be improving back to previous level. A threesome of young kids were slow and all over the course hurting the experience and there was no ranger but overall it was a positive day and I'll be back.
Great potential
Guy at counter couldn’t be less helpful. He was more interested in cleaning his clubs than checking us in. He didn’t give us keys to the carts and no one was around to tell us how to get to the first hole. Great layout and mix of holes. A few of the sand traps were more mud then sand.. lots of work going on, had I known they were just arrieted I would have chosen a different course. I always buy a shirt for each customer and one for my wife, not this time
Best public course layout
My favorite public course on Long Island. Conditions were better than I expected for this time of year. Other than the aeration of the aprons and the cold and windy conditions, it was an A+ experience. Will play this track more often this year.
