Ignorant members
Spent 11 holes stuck behind 4 members who never once thought to wave a one ball through and at times spent long times on the greens while I was waiting to approach. At 4h30 for my round they played at what must have been 5 hour pace with no consideration for others
Apparent from this the course was in great nick but could risk another near 5 hour round on an otherwide empty course
Nice course with good challenges..
Very decent track with good number of holes, that invite you to take a chance. Risk and reward.. Plenty of water hazards and trees to punish you for missing the fairway or the green..
One of the best!
Well maintained golf course, fairly easy over all but still challenging with few holes. Great value, can not get a better course with this kind of friendly price. Staff in pro shop and bar were very friendly, very good club house and member area. Would like to play again for sure.
Course in excellent condition
Great course. Looks fantastic. Service very good particularly in the bar where the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend
Great golf course
This a great golf course!!!
The day I played I guess it was fully booked because it took me & my 2 playing partners about 5 hours to get around.
There was a four ball in front of my group who weren't keeping up with the group in front of them.
Not sure if the group in front of me were new to golf
But they were very slow, 4/5 practice swings before taking shot, marking score cards on the green, not playing ready golf on busy course!!
Besides that, I always really enjoy playing St Margaret's , the course is in fabulous condition.
Infairness, the guy in the clubhouse who took my payment warned us it would be slow , he said we would be about 4 hours 10 minutes.
St Margarets
Great weather the icing on the cake. Excellent course well worth a visit
Superb last hole
Course is in great condition.
A couple of handy par 5s the 8th and 16th but looks like they might be improving the tee boxes in these holes.
18th is great finishing hole just hope your not looking for a birdie to win..
The course was well laid out
course was in good condition considering the weather
recently
nice course
The water hazards are beautiful, the greens even when wet were fast. A good, fair course for any type of golfer.
wet and windy but good
there is a lot of work going on so the average conditions otherwise great
So under rated
immaculate condition, great layout, interesting. Not one weak hole.
Good course
One of the more enjoyable accessible courses around Dublin, a great layout except for the par 3 5th which is ridiculously unfair, they really should bank against the river. Only the greens and bunkers were a little off what the layout deserves. We played off the black tees, its not too long, but the other 3 par 3's ensure you use your mid irons.
the 5th is a great hole yes really tricky bit a great par 3
