Powerscourt Golf Club
The booking process, the service in the pro shop and restaurant was excellent. The course condition and presentation was second to none and I have played a few top courses.
For me the only disappointment was the segregation between visitors and members in the bar/restaurant. I have played the East course before and forgot about this aspect. I have not come across this in any other golf club that does this in the 10 or more countries I have played in. It would put me off going back, but for a good deal on green fees I would go back. I wouldn't bring corporate customers or suppliers though.
Power Court west
First time golfing in Ireland and had a great time at Power Court West.Nice parkland layout and was first off and could rent a pull cart. One of the best Irish coffee’s all week.
One of Dublin's best
A great course, fantastic views, good test for any golfer, friendly people and lovely grub in the bar afterwards.
Excellent condition. Testing holes, difficult greens. Loved it.
Lots of hills and many slopes on the course. Greens are pretty big - but need to be with the speed of them and the fierce slopes that if not allowed for take your ball to unexpected places.
Beautifully manicured bunkers I found hard to play from as sand although good had little depth and the faces were at times huge.
Love to play it again, it is a course to treat with respect and best to plan your way around rather than “go for it”.
Fully recommended.
Pristine
Beautiful scenary and course in top condition. Greenkeepers still working at 6pm when we finished.
Good value
We paid €42 ea. through a Golfnow hot deal which is good value. Greens had all recently been spiked and sanded so were very bobbly, and this detracted from the experience. Shame, as it's a good track
Great course
Played the West course, in fine condition for March. Fella in pro shop was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely play again
All round first class
Well designed and layed out. In great condition considering the recent weather and time of year. A great test of golf for the average golfer off the White tees. Superb greens and overall well maintained. You do need to be golf fit as it is long however the last three holes are downhill. If you have an opportunity to play the west course at Powerscourt, don't miss out because you won't be disappointed.
Windy....but fantastic
We got there and we originally booked the east course however it was close due to weather conditions...the staff then easily transferred us to the west course .....it was extremely windy but discounting the wind the course was fantastic ...some very challenging holes for the high handicapper but it was alot of fun
Would highly recommend to anyone to take a visit here it will test you but you will love it because of it
