Fantastic Course, Great Value
If you’re not caught up in playing ‘big names courses’ and still want a great day of play, I recommend Beaufort CC. There’s room to start chipping and putting prior to the round and hitting nets if you’d like. The week before brought a lot of rain so I played lift and clean this round and the greens were in fantastic shape. This is relatively flat and fairly open, but stay in close to the fairway as the brush is no joke. The views of the mountains and lake were outstanding the remnants of the old castle a nice touch. We had sunny skies and I took as many photos as I did strokes during play. I rented clubs that were Calloway XR and in decent shape. I highlight recommend playing here if you’re near Killarney!
Beaufort near Killarney
Wanted to play a round in the Killarney area on an off day from the big courses that wasn't triple digits in cost. I settled on Beaufort as it was very close to Killarney.
I played with some wonderful local gentlemen who showed me around the course and what areas to avoid teeing off.
It is a parkland course and wasn't too difficult to navigate with some wonderful landscape.
It's not a bad course to play if you're looking to save a few Euro.
Excellent course at an affordable price
Improving every year. A great course for all grades. Only aspect lacking is the lack of a consistent catering offer. Bit if it’s golf your are after, at an affordable price for the Killarney area , this course fits the bill.
Beautiful course but restaurant closed early which was disappointing to my suprise
After round of golf was hoping to watch the all Ireland hurling final in the restaurant with some food after a challenging 18 but to my surprise at 3pm the restaurant was closed other than that this course was a must play for any golfer
Parcours très beau et intéressant
Beau parcours fait avec le soleil il est intéressant à jouer avec beaucoup de variations et de petits reliefs
Très bien entretenu et Green très bons
Je le recommande
Great value course that punches above its weight
Beaufort I believe is the best dollar for dollar course in the Killarney area. The famous locals of Ballybunion, Tralee and Waterville unfortunately priced me out on our recent trip but Beaufort provided a great value for a nice course. Greens were in great shape and rolling true. Setting was very nice, though parkland, vice Oceanside. I’d recommend the place to anyone looking for a nice spot where you don’t have to spend $400 to play in Ireland!
Know how to treat visitors
Met by rep shown first holes layout very welcoming
Food after golf lovely thank you
Mountain View
Nice quiet course in good all round condition, flows nicely from hole to hole.
Nice Experience
We played the course at around 4pm in August. The staff was nice and helpful. The course was well prepared and not crowded at all. Really enjoyed the course and the wonderful views of the mountains.
Cold welcome couldn’t care less if you’re there or not.
Take all they can, 15 euros for an electric trolley which is on its last legs.
Course is still fantastic greens are supreme worth a visit just ignore the cold entrance.
American here… make the call and play a round here!
I was debating this and Killarney Golf and Fishing Club and due to the quite significant cost difference went here.. it’s worth way more! The castle hole is gorgeous as in they undersell it it’s truly a one of a kind hole! The only knocks are the cost of rentals for €45 the bag of clubs should include a couple of balls and tees but they don’t and the charge for both that adds to the cost quickly but overall an amazing golf experience and would definitely play it again!
