Magnificent scenery
Played Mahony’s Point which I presume is more forgiving than Killeen course. In great condition and fantastic views of Lake Killarney and mountains from everywhere on the course.
Very open fairways and greens were immaculate.
Beautiful Killarney!
I chose the amazing setting of Killarney Golf Club, Mahoney's Point, for my first round in Ireland so it wouldn't beat me up too badly, haha. I first had a breakfast croissant in the restaurant and it was delicious. I'm happy to report that the course didn't beat me up and I'm also very happy to say I birdied my first hole in Ireland! There is not a lot of trouble other than getting behind some trees with bad angles to the greens. It's probably a good option to lay back a little bit on some of the holes so you don't get pinched in by the trees. The greens rolled nice and true and the fairways were maybe a little dry from the recent hot weather.
I played with two nice gentlemen from New York City, and we were following the ladies' Sunday competition, so it was a little slow waiting on some of the holes, but we still played in under 4 hours.
Four birdies and an eagle, I will take a 75 for my first round in Ireland and will return to play the Killeen course later next week!
Lovely course with unbelievable views, staff were very friendly at the proshop. Course is challenging but also forgiving if you miss a fairway. 16,17 and 18 are 3 lovely holes to finish out the round would definitely look and playing again or maybe trying to get out on the Kileen course
Looked for a nice course, close to Dingle. After staying there before and playing other nearby courses, we tried Killarney Mahoney's Point course. Excellent open course, great condition, with a great clubhouse, restaurant and excellent staff. Highly recommend, The Boyle family
A sunny day at Mahoney Point
We played 2 four balls & had a great time. The course is so beautiful & we loved the very tame deer! A magical day
Great course
Very good course. Slight drawback of the deer hooves on the greens but it's not too bad. In very good condition as a whole, especially for January.
Very nice to play..
Very well kept and very nice to play one. Everything was on point. Zero complaints here.
Unbelievable scenery
I booked a hot deal for 56 Euro Beat money spent on golf with fabulous views of the lakes and mountains.
Great course only problem I was on my own and couldn’t join up with anyone wasn’t the most welcoming golf course I’ve played. It was extremely slow aswell and the front 9 nobody would allow me to play through. Apart from that it’s a nice course.
