Raven's Claw Golf Club
About
Located in Limerick Township, Raven's Claw Golf Club is one of southeastern Pennsylvania's best golf and residential communities. It consistently ranks as one of the state's top 10. Carved from rolling hills and mature woodlands, the layout features a variety of different holes. No two holes are alike but they require some creative shot-making abilities. With tight fairways and undulating greens bordered by mounds of rough, the golf course also demands accuracy. The design incorporates links-style elements that present a formidable test. The golf course is undoubtedly challenging but there are also recovery opportunities on each hole, which makes it less daunting for beginners. One of Raven's Claw Golf Club's most memorable holes is the tricky penultimate hole. This unforgiving par-3 has a double-tiered, undulating green with no bailout areas to the left or right. Golfers that hit it short will face a blind second shot.

Great Deal
One of the better public courses around and a great deal!
Challenging, well kept but only would play when they offer a discount
The course was in great shape. We teed off after it had been raining all day so we didn't have anyone in front of us. Its a challenging course. My only complaint is the course is too expensive to justify the cost of a round at their regular rate. The deal from golfnow was $35/person after 3pm which was a good deal.
Challenging but fun
Challenging course for intermediate golfers but if you enjoy the challenge it is a fun course to play. Played before the greens were aerated and they were very tough, expect multiple 3 putts. Every other physical aspect of the course was pristine. Highly recommend this course for a good price.
Nice track
Course is always maintained well. Mixture of great holes. Won't see the hardest greens here but getting there in regulation may not be too easy but not so difficult get up and down.
Don't Play if You're A Right Hander That Slices.
The course itself was magnificent. The fairways were perfectly manicured and the greens (although being aerated, it's april I can't expect a whole lot) were fairly good. They played fast, but they didn't break hardly at all because of the aeration. My biggest problem with the course was that it offered literally no wiggle room for the average golfer. I play bogey golf, so I'm not scratch player, but I wouldn't exactly call myself a horrendously bad golfer. At this course, if your tee shot was not perfectly lined down the fairway, you were pulling yourself a new ball. Numerous times I would miss the fairway with a tee shot by maybe 15-20 yards, and I would think "ok, not the greatest of shots, but it's playable." I'd pull up to take my 2nd shot, and it's sitting in knee-high grass, or a pond, or a creek, or thick woods. There was hardly any room for error. Overall, if you're a good player (10 or under handicap) I could see why someone would enjoy the course, but if you're the average golfer looking to have some fun, try elsewhere.
This course is very good and challenging.
Overall the golf course is a 9 out of 10. The reason for this the green were aereated.
Nice course, value for your money. ten minute tee times a nice bonus
The only issue that we had is that the greens were recently airerated and sandy, but it's April
Challenging back nine w/ elevation changes.
The front nine was being airirated. We got to play the back nine twice. A great course. Playing the back nine twice was better than playing most courses.
Got a great price for a above average golf course
Many holes that will test your skills. You will use all the clubs in your bag.
Greenstion need atten
Overall course was in acceptable condition, given our reduced rate of $29. I would not have been happy if I had paid full price.
Great Condition
First time playing Raven's Claw and I loved it!!! The course was in great shape, 1 par 3 tee box was under repair but it didnt take away from the overall test of golf. Would like to play again!!!!
Great course!
I love Ravens Claw. Was my second time playing this course and it is always a fun round. The front nine may be my favorite 9 holes in the area.
The back is difficult but a lot of fun as well.
Watch out for 11! If played right you'll have a great feeling walking off this course.
Great for all level of golfers
Even though they are working to improve the course from winter weather, it is in great shape. Greens rolling nice and fairways have good lies.
Great Day! Great Course!
My son and I played Raven's Claw this week and had a great time! We completed the course in 3 1/2 hours. The greens were in perfect condition and the fairways were wide. We would definatley go back again!
Course
Good golf course, was able to get a nice price on a hot deal which made the day that much better. Without the hot deal, it can get very pricey.
Good value
Always love playing this course.. When the greens are rolling it is a definite challenge!
very nice course layout and conditions.
Ravens Claw is an hour drive for me but well worth it. some very unique positions with interesting shots. One of those courses you play better on subsequent visits since some holes require previous knowledge. Only one hole out of 18 I'd say I did not enjoy .....good ratio. Unusual having the Limerick cooling towers looming on the horizon when making some shots. Staff was great.....I'll be back.
Love the Claw
Always a great course...Had to deal with a lot of Fog on Sun but it was still a fun round. It can be a difficult course but whats golf without a challenge, right?
Course Markings
I know it is late in the season but there were no 200, 150 or 100 yard markers on the course. Very difficult to find the ground markers to gauge the distance to the greens. Overall the course was in very good condition with predictable green speed. I've played the couse a few times and really like the challenging layout.
WHAT IS HAT SMOKE?
Wanting a road trip for NY and did some research and came up with the highy rated Raven's Clay. A 2 1/2 hor drive later I notice I am playing golf right next to a nuclear power plant. While this was different it added to the trip but as for the course? Very interestong layout with a combinaton of long and short holes that made you think.Great use of the landscape requiring you to go over water and up and down hlls. Greens were fast and firm A good day but the locals said there were many area courses better. I am unsure of that and enloyed. I have played over 100 public courses and rank it just inside the top 1/2. God for locals but not vacation worth.
