Nice course
The course was in great shape considering all of the rain the last couple of days. Only thing I don’t like about the course is the putting is difficult haha
great staff at a good course with superb greens
Super nice staff who was both friendly and informative. He advised that I spend time on the practice putting green before heading out as the greens are fast with lots of undulation to them. So get there early and practice putting to save yourself a few strokes. Worked for me. I asked if he would recommend walking the course as I prefer to walk and he said it was a good walking course (bear in mind no cart rental means less revenue to the club) and he was right! The course itself has some challenge but not too punishing. I played the white tees and will play from the blues when I return but all in all, I was super impressed with course layout, condition and staff. Great Value!!!
Great Day
Course in good shape, tough greens and pin placements.
Challenging Course
Course was in pretty good shape even with the tough summer we have been having. Greens are very challenging and fast. Nice place to test your game.
Good condition and a great value
The course is in good condition. I played in the evening and it wasn't busy at all.
3rd Time Playing
This is a challenging course but by far the nicest scenery and layout of any course in Cumberland County. If you want easy play elsewhere. If you’re up for a challenge play a round at Eagles. Staff and pro shop are great which is always a plus. Thx.
Greens and rough are in rough shape
The clubhouse is nice. The staff is friendly. The tee boxes and fairways are fine. The rough is all spoty short brown grass and the greens are in rough shape. The greens appear to not have a divot fixed since last year. Pin locations were challenging but not impossible.
On a hot deal I would play there again
Eagles Crossing
It was a good day on the course except for the fact the pace of play was so slow. We basically waiting on every shot. The main issue was the 5-some that was out there holding everyone up.
Challenging layout and good condition
I typically shot in the mid- 80’s and have been playing a a lot of different courses in the central PA area. This was the first time I played this course in over 14 years. The course was in good condition (some dead grass areas just off the fairway) and offered the opportunity to make risk/reward decisions.
Very happy with the he course and staff was very nice. I can’t comment on the pace, as I was the first out and played by myself, but for a Saturday I didn’t see any back ups on any holes.
Beautiful
Course in perfect shape today. Clubhouse staff superb. Even hot dogs as we turned onto the back 9 were darn good today. I highly recommend this course. No pressure from behind nor no need to push golfers ahead of us. Groundskeeper clearly takes pride in tee boxes, greens and fairways and ownership taking great care of place. For first time here, very impressed, and me and my buddies will be back soon! Worth the 144 mile roundtrip from central MD today to play a fun 18 holes.
Nice and hard.
While just picking up golf as a hobby amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic after realizing that may be the only thing we’re able to do to enjoy the outdoors for the next few months, I did some research and purchased my first set of clubs. Several hours after receiving them I began my trek to learn the game and experience several courses around the area. I am not very good at this at all, and this course made me understand that to the fullest extent. This course is very challenging and seemingly no place for a beginner like myself. Although I am very excited to go back when my baseball swing slice turns to a nice straight golf swing, I would not recommend this course to anyone that isn’t confident on the golf course. I think a year from now this could be my favorite course, but for now I will stick to some easier courses to save myself from losing 20+ balls due to missing every fairway possible throughout my 18 hole grind. It seemed as though all the other groups playing around mine were fairly decent which made me feel slightly out of place. No one likes to see a guy teeing off in front of them with a 40 yard grounder into the nearest pond, or overgrown swamps time and time again. With that in the back of my mind throughout my entire round, I feel comfortable blaming my concern for embarrassment and being an annoyance on all bad shots throughout the day. If I had this course to myself I’m confident I would hit no more than a 150 and for me that’s phenomenal. All in all, this is no place for a beginner, but for an experienced golfer this course seems like it would be very fun. I’m excited to revisit this when I improve!
Hidden gem
This course is awesome. Challenging and elevated greens. Very friendly staff!
