Dungarvan Golf Club

Very pleased with the course. Some great holes. No complaints.

Excellent Weather, fairways were good, greens smooth enough BUT Rock-hard, no bite and bounced like concrete. This made for some pretty tough scoring conditions - holding greens proved a challenge and stopping a chip impossible. That meant pars were hard-fought. The greens were quite true though, so good putting was rewarded.

The course looks very short on paper, but played well longer than the numbers and proved to be the victor on the day. I expect that the scoring would improve with more rounds at Dungarvan, because there are a few local knowledge traps (such as placement of water hazards, hungry bushes guarding greens that look innocuous from a distance etc.) which could be avoided with prudent "leaves" and could allow for 4 or 5 shots saved.

Scored 3 more than handicap - but had a great day out nonetheless.

Tried to cancel due to having COVID rang the clubhouse twice no answer and I was fully charged not great from the course

Proshop well equipped. Pro and staff couldn't be more helpful and really well informed.

Spacious locker rooms

Large bar and restaurant area with large balconies overlooking the course.

Staff here also excellent, food superb.

Practice green and practice area(chipping and short irons) excellent. The only negative is that the hitting nets need an upgrade.

I'd recommend buying a shotsaver to get max benefit from this well designed course, esp holes 1 and 2 (which will set the tone for your round).

Nice length on the course with plenty risk reward, superb true greens where below the pin pays dividends. Excellent fairway and presentation throughout.

This course is going to see a lot of me over the coming years.

Its just awesome the layout the scenic view, the Fairways and greens are in excellent conditions. The greens are challenging.

Overall it was just great and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our round at this course, it was in great shape and a challenge for my husband, brother and I. They were preparing for a weekend tournathe day we played so there were a lot of course workers out which interrupted our play a bit. The Greens were also very challenging, fast and sometimes the wind would push the ball! Overall a great course for the money.

Beauty of a course. Very very wet in places but fairways and greens for end of december were amazing. My favourite summer course hands down..
