Deer Valley Golf Course in Hummelstown boasts one of the most affordable rounds you'll find in the Hershey/Harrisburg area. Since opening in 2005, more than 850 trees have been added and it has matured into a course favored by both visitors and locals. The layout features large, elevated greens and massive multi-tiered tees. From the golf course's peaks, the views stretch all the way to Hershey and the Blue Mountains. The winding layout twists and turns, doglegging left and right. It's a challenging layout round despite the absence of sand bunkers. There is however, thick rough and a number of grass bunkers to watch out for. Water only makes a brief appearance. Deer Valley Golf Course isn't overly challenging but for a fun and fair test, it's an affordable option that also offers some beautiful scenery.

Solid course
Course was in good condition but did not have bunkers. Fairway grass was cut a little longer than usual. Pace of play was solid. Layout was on the easier side. I was playing by myself and the starter tried to make me share a cart with a complete stranger during the pandemic which was weird, so I just walked and was still charged for the cart. Otherwise, it was fine.
No sand
The only course I’ve ever played with only grass bunkers. The course is in a beautiful area and as well kept as any I’ve played. I wish it was closer to where I live. I drive an hour and twenty minutes to play thus course and it is well worth the drive!
Solid local course
This is such a fun course. A few challenging carry holes, some short Par 4s that give you a chance with driver, and challenging greens. Absolute gem in the Central PA region.
