West/North at Tanglewood - The Lion

        About
Tanglewood, also known as "The Lion," boasts 27 holes of championship golf, divided into the North, South, and West nines. The holes are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The North/West Course starts with the gentlest nine before moving on to the newest and arguably the most challenging nine. The undulating landscape provides a soft bowl-shape to many of the holes that help to keep errant shots in play by corralling them away from the bordering backyards. Water hazards come into play on seven holes on the West nine and the greens are also guarded heavily by pins. The West's third hole is one of the most memorable holes on the golf course. This tricky par 4 gets progressively more challenging as you move from the wide fairways to the steep and intrusive bunkers that lead to the green.

Great Saturday round
Even for high noon tee time pace was solid, course was beautiful after having had heavy rains Thursday night. Greens and tee boxes were excellent.
Just Okay
one of those places that if you can get out there, and play one time, it's worth the trip. but I would never go back. probably good for the average one - two rounds per month golfer. Seemed like a lot of ladies and alot of old timers out there.
Lack of coarse mgt.
The coarse was nice but it’s way too slow… way over booked.
A gem
One of the nicer courses I’ve played and not an easy course either. Every aspect of it was top notch. Will definitely play here again every time I’m in town.
Pace of play was terrible
Waited about 10 minutes on every tee box and about 5 on every shot on the hole. Never played a longer round of golf, and this was on a MONDAY! We ended up quitting after 12 holes because it was unbearable. Can’t imaging what it’s like during the ladder part of the week. Won’t be coming back to say the least.
Very nice layout and course conditions good.
Pace of play was absolutely terrible. Poorly managed from number of twosomes mixed in with foursomes. Rangers on course but no engagement to move pace of play Along.
Overall condition of course and clubhouse excellent but not managed to a level needed to create a better experience overall.
