Cedar Trace Golf Club

This course needs serious attention. Fairways were awful with weeds everywhere. It looks like they hardly ever water the course. Greens were hard as a rock but very slow. It was almost impossible to put in a tee because of how hard the ground was. Some holes just had straight dirt and rocks all over. Just not a good course all around

The course would be nice to play if it were not for a few holes that need attention to the fairways.

The overall course layout was challenging for an avg player like myself. There were a few par 3’s over 170 yds. The fairways had good and bad slopes that kept you on your toes. Yes, the quality the greens were less than stellar due to covid-19, but the course has no sand in the traps. Instead they were overgrown with weeds and dirt. There were pits where irrigation holes may have been. Though the course says polos required. There were many groups arriving in the afternoon with cut off t shirts and sleeveless t shirts ready to party. I’m cool with that if the price suggests it. Higher quality should come with the price they charge for 18.

This course has an interesting layout makes you think not just tee and hit. With a little maintenance this course could be very nice. But the sand traps have little to no sand weeds are reclaiming them, fairways were spotty. There is no indication of where the pin is (front, back, or middle). The layout is challenging, the property that the course lies on is ascetically pleasing and scenic but the course is not what it could be.

This course has the potential to be a great place to play they just need to put some TCL on the cart paths and a few parts of the course itself. Overall still not a bad place to play.

Please do something with hole 7, it's a swamp. Other than that, I enjoy this course. Staff was super nice.

Booked a 18 hole tee time using golf now, only to find out there was a league going off at 4:00 so we would have to play the front nine twice. We got to the first hole and there were 3 groups ahead of us. The pace of play was so bad it took us an hour to get through three holes. I called and asked the clubhouse if we could come in for a refund and they said yes. Upon getting back to the clubhouse they said they could only do a rain check for 9 holes. This course is clearly just out to make a buck. They are also not following covid 19 guidelines. Ball washers are still on the course, water fountains open, and only 2 carts allowed per foursome.

I cancelled our tee time 4 hours in advance because of the weather. The course was unplayable. Golfnow sent me an email stating they would refund me and that never happened. That was the last time I’ll use Golfnow.

Had a tee time for 18 holes but upon arrival I was told we had to play the front nine twice because of a league. My partner and I get to hole one and there’s 2 groups in front of us so it was already backed up. The group in front of us was so slow that it took an hour to get through the first three holes. I called into the clubhouse and asked if we could have a refund, to which they said yes. When I got to the clubhouse I was told they could not refund me, but instead just gave a rain check, but only for 9 holes. That was my second and final time playing cedar trace. Poor management and nobody enforcing pace of play. They’re clearly just out to make a buck!

Started out to be an OK day but when we made the turn we were notified that their leagues had to go in front of us making the turn which pushed us to a 6 1/2 hour round of golf!! The gentleman at the desk apologized but never even offered a free round of golf or anything. We played the front 9 in 2:15 minutes and the back 9 was ridiculous waiting 15-25 minutes for every shot. We will never return to this course! They really need to figure out tee times so this doesn’t happen again!

staff is friendly and is a true test to my handicap

Played this course for the first time on 5/1/2020. We were told that our twosome had to share a cart in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is inconsistent with the approach at all other OH courses we have played recently. The desk attendant argued vociferously as to why we should not need to have separate carts, despite plenty of available carts and us having one of the last 18-hole tee time for the day (4:00 PM). We finally inquired as to the price of an additional cart rental and paid that fee. Course is operating inconsistently with with Section 5(c) of OH executive order.

Booked golf now tee time in the AM for Cedar. Drive 45 minutes to find out they are closed due to "weather conditions". On a cloudy day, but with no rain. Ridiculous.

I played this course today for the first time. Everyone was very friendly and I have to say for the price it’s the best course around.

For the money, this is a fun course to play. The course layout, which winds around a brook and lakes and with the different elevations is fun and interesting to play.

Enjoyed the round and will return.

Played this course and enjoyed it. It’s different that’s for sure. Be ready to play a mindful game. It’s not just driver on every par 4 and 5. You have to think and execute. Greens in great shape as well. Plush. Recommend to anyone that haven’t played here yet.

Nice course with good layout. Great mixture of water hazards and woods. Very hilly in parts and a lot of woods close by. They do a great job and majntinkng the fairways and greens ; although this past year was difficult to keep up with due to the heavy rains and extreme heat .

Staff is always very friendly and easy to deal with.

Good course and you will enjoy your round!
