This is only a 2 star course. Fairways need work and greens and tee boxes are in bad shape.
This is a good course. Not Augusta National. So all good reviews except this one. Go figure.

Long course but very rewarding!
Played here for the first time on Sunday AM. The tee box and part of the fairways were a little rough; however, the greens were well kept and pin placement was not too difficult. From the white tees, there are a couple of long par 3's, close to 200 yards, but it is a nice change of pace. A couple par 5's are 500+ yards so you will get plenty of use out of your fairway woods. Had a great time and I will definitely return again in the future.

Old Course
The greens were in great shape relative to the rest of the course. The person supposed to be working the pro shop was more interested in talking to his friends, but that doesn't have any impact on the course.

Poor Playing Conditions
Not overseeded. General condition of fairways, greens & tees were poor-fair. Great old course needs some TLC & $$$ spent to improve conditions. Sad…

Greens were GREAT!
Fairways had some bare spots and those brown crunchy leaves were everywhere except the greens which were swept and leaf free. Love the course layout and pace of play was great as well!
Will definitely be playing there more while still here in Florida.

Last minute choices
I like Inverness, but for some reason I always feel rushed. Probably because I am not a stellar player, but I am concerned with keeping the pace up. The course is in good shape and I I found the staff to be friendly. Still, one had to keep moving as those behind were waiting. Perhaps a bit more time between groups would be welcome?

It’ s just OK!
We felt the pictures of the course were very deceiving. Realizing the time of the year, e didn’t find much green on the course and the putting greens in need of water, The layout was interesting and the carts were very new. The course needs some TLC. Don’t follow the Golf Now direction, they took us way out of the way. And almost missed our tee time.

Just an average course
It was moderately okay. I will not play again because there are too many more better options.

Course was tucked away
Kind of off the beaten path, but the pace of play and the friendly staff will bring us back. Actually, we have booked our second tee time already. Variety of tees and abundant trees can challenge any level golfer.

Tough from the tips
Inverness is a great course and quite a challenge from the back tees. When it's dry, the greens roll quick and true. It's not a simple layout by any means and both 9's feature a 200 plus yard par 3. Great value; friendly staff.
