Golf Club of Dublin
About
Although the climate gives away the location, the Golf Club of Dublin is a more authentic interpretation of the traditional links of its Irish namesake than most other replicas you'll find. The flat terrain, which was formerly a cornfield, was transformed into an enjoyable linksland layout covered with tall, sweeping heather and hundreds of yards of hand-stacked stone walls. The gently rolling fairways are generous and the classic, square-shaped greens are enormous and fast. In keeping with a true links golf course, there are nearly 80 steep, sod-walled bunkers waiting treacherously by the fairways and greensides to swallow up errant shots. Depending on the sun, the shadows cast over the bunkers can play tricks on your eyes, making them appear deceptively deeper or shallower. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes at the Golf Club of Dublin.

A must play
GC Dublin is must play whenever you are in the Columbus area. Course is always in great condition and you get a true feel for a links style course. It’s a fair test of golf and enjoyable round of golf. Columbus offers a lot of excellent golf courses . GC Dublin is unique and a must play
Great Challenge
GREAT course, well worth the drive from Cleveland...Starter was really friendly and gave us the layout or the course and a few tips...
Can't wait to play again when its dry, had a few wet spots in the fairways, but it didn't take away from the fast greens.
Fairways are wide, greens are extremely big, so you may get on in regulations, however be prepared to have plenty of 3 putts starting at 30 plus feet away...lol
They think very highly of themselves
Golf Club of Dublin is a very nice course with a fun layout. However I wouldn’t go there without a deal. It is priced way too high and the group that owns it, New Era Golf, thinks very highly of this course. While it is a good course it’s not all that and a bag of chips. I would honestly argue that it’s not even the best course owned by New Era. All and all it’s a fun and challenging course, but don’t go unless you get a deal on your tee time.
Links at its finest
Spectacular golf course has the feel of playing a course in Ireland
Great layout , fantastic condition the entire staff ate welcoming and friendly
Whenever in the Columbus area it’s a must play
Great
The practice range was awful, and had me pretty scared to the condition of the course. The course turned out to be wonderful, and the carts had GPS. Great day.
Solid track semi private atmosphere
Greens need a bit of work but overall a great track. Played tips so it definitely opens up things up a bit.
Always a joy to play
What you’re willing to pay is all relative. I think it’s a bit pricey but it’s so fun to play. You can score well but it can also punish you.
Much improved course management from the past ;)
Course was in great shape, except for a few of the bunkers. Always a fun and challenging course. The pace of play and course management has much improved over the past years :)
Great time
The course was in good shape despite some heavy rain two days before. We were not allowed to drive the carts in the fairways, and sometimes the cart was locked up if you got to close. Some fairways were still pretty saturated. The greens rolled really nicely.
I played with two family members ( who were playing their second round ever) and they LOVED the layout and course.
Stopped for burgers after 9 and they were delicious!
Nice spot a bit over priced
Course was CPO Monday so it was sloshy...nobody told us it was cpo, made for slow play. Nice track; greens 6/10 boxes 7/10 fairways 7/10. Will be back and absolutely would recommend
Nice course, odd watering schedule
Had a nice time on this course, last played it 4 years ago. Historically this course can get beat up from the numerous outings they host, but with COVID the course was in very good shape. Layout is tight on a few holes with houses nestled along the fairways with many in the line of fire. One odd thing was the course deciding to “spot water” the last 4 holes we were on, causing disruption to pace and rhythm. Why a course is watering at 3PM in 96 degree heat is beyond me...any groundskeeper will tell you this causes burn that time of day. That aside I would still come back and suggest it to others. Starter and staff were friendly. Burger was top notch at the turn!
Great course
Amazing track. Great condition. Was very crowded, and is definitely pricey. I would play here a lottttt more if it was cheaper.
Not up to Par
I was very disappointed in my experience this time playing here. Granted I had a lower twilight hour rate. However it was extremely packed with golfers. I did get to tee off early only because I joined the group in front of me which was fine since I was a single player. The real problem started on the second tee, where there were 8 people putting on the green! Yes, 8 and they all were putting for a million $. Next hole all 8 teed off. Online scorecard said where were eight minutes behind pace. By the time everybody teed off we were 15 minutes behind pace. Thank goodness a Marshall told us after the third hole it would get better- great. Remember this is twilight play. So by the time we get to the 6th hole my cart dies. I call the clubhouse and tell them. Response-sure no problem be right there with a new cart. Meanwhile we have to switch out clubs and try to rearrange so we can continue to play. 6th hole isn’t that far from clubhouse. I called, a member called, we played 6, called again on 7. Now it’s starting to get darker people behind us jump in front of us and play a par 3 hole so we have to wait again for them.
Because the people we had been waiting on hadn’t gotten any faster we were just a little slower because we were minus a cart!! So dark we were unable to play 7, 8,9. Total time to play 6 holes over 2 hours. Sorry Dublin I wouldn’t be back for quite awhile!!
4.5 stars from me
Solid course not quite 5*. If I Had to nitpick I’m looking for a bit more speed on the greens although they do run true here(GC Dublin) they r a little beat up in spots. Overall I’m happy w the experience and really don’t have any complaints.
